Vanderbilt Medical Center Hospital
the hospital over all was good i didnt have any vistors my darling husband stay with me the hole time and i was on the 9th floor and life flight was only 2 floors up and let me tell you that thing runs a lot my husband and i counted it one night and it when out 43 times but that is a good hosptail and they are well accommoadted to handle things like that if i had it to do all over again i wouldnt change anything they are GREAT
Everyone treated me nice except for the recovery nurse. Her name is Carolyn and she was the most hateful woman.I told her that I felt sick a couple of times and she ignored me.I told her again and she told me to shutup or I wouldnt get a room, that I would have to stay in recovery all night and that no one would be able to visit me.5 hours later I was in a room.
My surgery experience was fine, staff was very nice. Dr. Richards is great. My first stay on the 9th floor was ok the staff wasn't the greatest. I had a very rude lazy nurse the first night. My pain pump ran out & I had to wait 45min for a refill. She was lazy & rude. Had no problem with any other staff on the 9th floor. Was readmitted to 10th floor the staff was great, excellent nursing care. My emergency room experience was horrible. They were busy took me and hr. to get looked at saw 3 different Dr. from 4pm till 11pm got no releif from nausea or pain until I had been there over 7hrs. Finally got a wonderful ER Dr. Himes. he was great. Most of the ER staff were rude & the ER rooms were not clean. Some of the nurses never washed hands or wore gloves. I only saw this behavior in the ER.
