Dr. Davidson, rnrnGod fearing, wounderful man. Kind and softspoken. I went in to surgery well informed because of him and his staff. If you are in Dallas he is your man

Dr. Davidson is an extremely competent surgeon, educates his patients well, and seems to have a good program. However, I personally have had several phone calls never returned. I had labs done in September, am still waiting to hear the results, and sincerely feel unwelcome in the office by the staff.

Dr. Davidson is very professional and a great surgeon. He's very busy and doesn't mince words - but he's a good surgeon - which is what counts. The aftercare program consists of water aerobics, support group each month and nutrition counseling. Dr. Davidson was up front about the risk and suggested I lose some weight before surgery so the procedure would go easier. I did and it did. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give him an 8, just because he was not around much in the hospital after the surgery. He's a busy guy! I will say that I called a few years after my surgery to ask about a problem I was having, and b/c I didn't have insurance, the office person told me to go to the ER - which was not very helpful. I was willing to pay cash for the office visit but I guess that was not a posibility. These are my personal opinions and experiences.

Dr. Davidson has been great! He is such a people person, that he is very comfortable to talk with, ask questions or even just chat.rnrnHe is extremely thorough and has you do things to prepare for surgery to make it less risky for the surgery itself.rnrnMy husband met him a few days before surgery, after the entire experience, he has convinced his mother to change drs and try to use Dr. D...... testimony that he was comfortable enough wtih what all I went through to have his mother use the same.

EXCELLENT laparoscopic RNY technique. Uses 3 methods (staples, sutures, glue) which is difficult on laps. Surgical competence is better than bedside manner. He's kind of a \"crotchety\" old man. Very strict and drills you about your knowledge of procedure in office visits. Be ready to have your surgery date bumped if you're not in compliance.

The first impression of dr. davidson was that he is very straight forward. He was very informative about the risks of surgery and the things I would need to do to prepare for surgery. He has a great structured aftercare program. I feel very confident with him as my surgeon.

He is professional, to the point, and honest.rnMy impression is he cares very much for his patients and their successful recovery. His staff has always been courteous and helpful and friendly.rnI would highly recommend him to anyone I know and care about.rnHe has a very thorough program.rnThey also provide a dietician and you can call if you have questions or need help. All are great to deal with.rnHe addressed the surgery risks well. There is risk in everything, not just surgery. I believe he was the right choice for me. His surgical competence is best. Everyone wants a doctor with great bedside manner, I prefer competence. Would I like him to be more punctual, yes, but that is because I am a timely person, he is a doctor and sometimes some patients need more time with him. I looked at other doctors who did the same surgery, even ones closer to where I live, he had a good record and I am pleased with what I have done so far.

dr. davidson is very matter of fact...no sugar coating anything. he did my surgery at the last minute to help me get it done before i started school. he let me know all the risks and was very concerned.

When I first met Dr. Davidson, I found him to be competent, dedicated, direct, and thorough. My first impression was not altered, as I met with him on additional occasions; he is consistent. The office staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I have found Dr. Davidson and his staff to be professional, caring and excellent at what they do. They emphasize aftercare and have a well established aftercare program. Dr. Davidson was honest in explaining all aspects of the surgical procedure. I would rate Dr. Davidson as one of the top, if not the best, bariatric surgeons in North Texas. He is serious about his work and possesses the upmost in surgical competence. He also has a pleasant bedside manner.

After giving up on Dr. Alexander in 2004, I decided I would never get my much need Gastric Bypass. Cigna was never going to approve me. rnrnI went to work at the hospital in October 2005 and one of the ladies I work with had the Gastric Bypass the year before. She invited me her support group and I started going, getting more excited every time. This support group was for anyone who had or wanted to have the Bypass or the lapband. Dr. Davidson's support person, Chris Arrowsmith, comes every month and does a seminar and answers questions we have. He has worked with the insurance companies and knows all the ins and out. Chris and B.J. Hundley, his co-worker, now run Nova Body Solutions. This is a support group for Bariatic Surgeons offing a full aftercare program.rnrnAfter one of Chris' seminars I went to see Dr. Davidson. He quized me to see if I understood everything correctly. He asked about my health and had me do a sleep test and to see a lung doctor, get a stress test and then we waited on the insurance, Cigna. They said I had to have a Doctor supervised diet of at least 6 months before they would approve the bypass.rnrnThen in June 2006 we were offered new insurance at my husband's job and we choose United Health Care. I let Dr. Davidson's office know and they sent in the paperwork to United and I was approved within a few weeks.rnrnDr. Davidson did my Gastric Bypass on my 55th. Birthday, September 12, 2006. Dr. Davidson was wonderful. I have just a few little places on my stomach from the surgery and was up and walking the halls just hours afterward. He kept me in the Hospital 2 days and I was able to go home and stay by myself. I returned to work after 7 days (although he does recommend 2 weeks). I just do data entry and was able to leave if I felt bad. rnrnI am 6 weeks out and feel wonderful. I have only been sick once for a few minutes from eating a few bites of french bread about 2 weeks out. rnrnDr. Davidson's support group and aftercare programs are the best. He really cares about you and your health.rnrn
