Dr. Facundus is a wonderful doctor. He was very attentive, he had no problems answering questions and was willing to answer my families questions in the waiting room. We are indeed lucky in the Tennessee Valley to have such a doctor.

I chose Dr. Facundus as my surgeon because of his reputation for being very thorough and caring. His very low mortality rate was very important to me also. Dr. Facundus was pleasant and professional at my first visit. His office staff have been very nice to me as I have called with questions about how my incision was healing. Aftercare is extremely important with Dr. Facundus. He expects pre-ops to begin making changes in their eating and will cancel their surgery if they gain weight.

I was very impressed with Dr. Facundus. He seems very knowledgeable and professional. He made me feel very at ease and comfortable. On my consultation visit, he understood that I had been doing months and months of research and didn't treat me like I was uneducated. He also didn't act like the details of the surgery were something a patient couldn't possibly understand - I really liked that! He was very down to earth, seemed compassionate, but yet straight forward and honest regarding the possible risks and complications.

Hunter at BWI is very knowledgeable as a nutritionist and I feel very at ease with him.

Stacy at Dr. Facundus' office has been wonderful in checking on things for me throughout the whole process and has always responded quickly! Susan, who is now handling insurance submissions, has been great and seems very organized. Melinda was very caring and compassionate at my office visit as well. Overall, I have been very, very pleased with Dr. Facundus and his staff and feel very confident in my choice of surgeons.

The in-hospital and post-operative care I received has been exceptional. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Facundus.

I was told about Dr. Facundus through a long time friend of mine who used him for her WLS surgery. She was so excited about what he had done for her, and I had been considering the surgery off and on for a year or so now. I decided to go forward and make an appointment with Dr. Facundus. I called his office and they instructed me the steps that I needed to follow and started me down the path. His entire office staff were very helpful to me, as was Christie and Hunter at BWI. I turned in the original request to my insurance company to Christie on my first visit to BWI, and my insurance approved me on the first try. I met with Dr. Facundus for the first time and all I could think about at first was how handsome my friend had said he was. LOL...she didn't lie. But after that wore off, I found him to be a very knowledgable and sincere person, he explained everything in detail and then went on to tell me about all the risks as well. I think this is very important for everyone who is considering this surgery to know all aspects of it before making that decision for their lives. I can say with much certainity, that if anyone asked me to recommend a surgeon for WLS, I would not hesitate to send them to Dr. Facundus. God Bless You as you make this journey and decide what is right for each of your own lives.

My first inpression of him was seemed very nice and confident. I never had a different impression of him. His office staff was nice and seemed caring and imformative. There isn't anything bad I would care to say. I feel that future patient's should know that he seems confident and very sure of his work, which is to the most important thing I would want. He requires after care and even has already scheduled future appts with him and a nutrionalist and a baratic counslor, no work for me, I really liked that. He talked about the risk, like most other surgery's. I would have to rate him overall excelent. I would have to say that both his surgical competence, bedside manner or both great.

I met Dr. Facundus in the Spring of 2004. I have had two appointments with him, and have been in his office four times. He is very professional, very thorough, and quite stern. I don't know for sure how old he is, but he seems rather young to be such an accomplished surgeon, and I he is very handsome. He exudes the confidence one would expect from a surgeon at the top of his field. The thing I like least about him is that he is very busy, and didn't have a whole lot of time to spend with me, but his practice has recently added another surgeon to the staff, so that should get better. His staff seems a bit overwhelmed, and it is not unusual to remain on hold, being passed from person to person for fifteen or twenty minutes. Also, like most "pay as you go" places, my first impression from the front desk staff was that their #1 priority is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I will elaborate more on this topic after my surgery, but nine days before my surgery, I feel very confident that I have made the right decision when it comes to my surgeon.

Dr. Facundus was very pleasant. He was very open about the surgery and the risks that was involved.Well,I only got to see him once at this point but I go see Dr. Foreman Friday the 17th. The staff was kinda not friendly at the first visit but the second time they were like I was told they would be .(very nice) I guess what I liked least about him was I would've liked to have seen him more than one time before surgery.Dr. Facundus emphasize aftercare strongly. He says if you want success from the surgery you have to follow the diet he has given you. He's up front about the risks of surgery which I liked . He didn't sugar coat nothing. And he talked in a way anyone would understand. I would rate him a 9.I think you really need SURGICAL COMPETENCE the most because lets face it I want to be alive to be able to enjoy the new me.But I'm one that likes my cake and to eat it to so great bedside manner is a plus .

My First impression of Dr Facundus was Good
He answered all my Questions and took all the time I needed ..He ask several times was there anything else I would like to ask him.My impression of Dr Facungus only inproved with time every time I saw Him he gave my all his att. His office staff is very nice and make sure to tell me (If you need ANYTHING CALL)
The Best thing I liked about Dr Facungus is that he is so down to earth. He made me feel so important. You should know that you are in good Hands with Dr Facungus.
Dr Facungus expectes all to go to the wellness Center for aftercare but is the first to tell you to be sure you call his office if you need anything. He told me that is how he keeps up with his patients is through the wellness center they report to him;and thet is how he know you are doing good.He told me all the good and the Bad.
I wouls say that Dr Facungus is a 10+++++
in both surgical competence and Bed side manner..When he came to my Room to see me the afternoon after my surgery My grandaughter was watching a Movie and he ask me how I was I said fine .He ask if I needed anything I told him no I was fine ..
Then said well I am going to watch TV with you then.He stood by my bed and watched TV until a commercial came on and then He said His Goodbyesthats the kind og down to earth Guy I am talking about Thank DR Facundus

Dr. Facundus was very professional and took the time to answer all my questions. He and his staff never made me feel any question was too simple or stupid. His office staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. My impression of Dr. Facundus has not changed. He made sure I understood everything he told me about the lifestyle changes required, the procedure, and the emotional rollercoaster this journey probably would be. Dr. Facundus emphasized the after care and that the plan should be followed. He explained that patients who took advantage of the after care and support groups were usually more successful than those who did not.

I was very excited and nervous the first time I met Dr. Facundus. I have heard nothing but good things about him, and everything I heard was correct. He is a fantastic surgeon. We are very lucky to have him in our area!
