I was impressed with him from the very first. I only talked to him twice before the surgery. He is professinal and forward answering any questions that I asked. His staff is very helpful and always answers my calls or calls me back. They really push after care for the first year. Overall the entire process was god for me.
My first impression of Dr. Facundus was that he is a wonderful surgeon. He was very helpful in answering all my questions. His office and medical staff was always very nice and helpful. Dr. Facundus wants everyone to know that this is a life change not just a quick fix. When I was in the hospital Dr. Facudus came to see me and he was so sweet and made sure the nurses got me everything I need. He talked with my family after surgery and had them well informed of how great things went.
I was very impressed with Doctor Facundus and his staff. They were very accomadating and prepared me very well for the surgery. They were very concerned about my after care and I have been following the after care program. Dr, Facundus was a highly competent surgeon with and excellent bedside matter.
I liked Dr. Facundus when I first met him and he was pretty friendly. After surgery, he came to ckeck on my and shook my hand. He has the loftest, warmest hands. I think he looks like a younger, better looking George Hamilton with a very nice smile. He really seems to know his stuff and he has a great reputation. He didn't mind answering questions. I've only seen him for a total of 10 minutes, so it is hard to say more.
His staff seems very professional and friendly. They seem to have a great system worked and a great pamplet to follow. So your questions are all answered in the pamplet. It is all step by step instructions.
Doc F is a good looking man. His bedside manner could be a little bit better. However, he is one busy, busy surgeon. I would not have anyone else operating on me.
His staff is nice.
I would like to have one staff member assigned to me, so that everytime I go in I would not have to re-explain something. They do not keep paper records, everything is in the computer. It seems as though they ask the same questions over and over.
Doc F will not operate on you unless he is 100% sure of your success. He really makes sure that you are a good candidate for the RNY.
I must say that I am impressed with Dr. Facundus. He is a stickler for getting all the appropriate tests completed before surgery. He was very thorough in his explanations of surgery, and what to expect afterwards.
I recently found out that he was my cousins surgeon for her surgery as well, and she is doing fantastic!
I would highly recommend him.
My first impression of Dr. Facuncus was he was very educated and cares about his patients. He makes sure you know both the risks and benefits of the surgery. He asked me several times if there was anything else he could do for me. The office staff was excellent. No complaints what so ever. I made a 4 1/2 hour drive each time just to see him. He emphasizes the importance of support groups and exercise. Overall I would rate Dr. Facundus a 10(He's a great surgeon too, ha ha ).
I done alot of research on WLS and surgeons. Dr. Edward Facundus had the best surgery background, Experience, and Surgical Competence of anyone in the state of Alabama. I would reccomend him to everyone looking for a Bariatric Surgeon.
My first impression of him was that he was nice. I have had several people tell me that he is firm with his beliefs on what you should do before and after surgery and how he expects you to follow the regiment to a T. So far my opinion of him has not changed. His office staff seems to be so use to people that they don't take the extra time needed to reassure the individual that their case is equally important. But they are nice and professional. Aftercare is strongly emphasized. On a scale of 1 -10, I will give him an 8 (I am making room for growth; after my sugery goes well, I will increase him to a perfect 10!) Everyone raves about his record and that is very impressive. But bedside manners are also important to me. I want to feel as though it is okay for me to have reservations or have built up fears in my quest for a better life. So to have both like Dr. Facundus is an asset that I will gladly take to the operating room.
I thought Dr Facundus was very professional and nice. He was upfront and honest about everything. He has a great office staff that is very efficient. The only thing that bothered me alittle was the fact that Dr Facundus kind of puts people in the same catagory instead of realizing everyone is different. Reason I say this is that I smoked and when he said I have to quit I said ok I will right now and he snickered at me and said I have heard that before. But it did make me mad enough to quit and for that I thank him very much I quit that day and haven't had one since. I would recommend him to anyone. He told me that after surgery was going to be the hard part and taking care of myself and doing the things I am supose to do will greatly improve my chances for success. I had done alot of research about this type surgery and he really didn't tell me anything I didn't already know but he did tell me everything and cover all the basis to make sure I knew all the risk and all the advantages. In my own personal opinion my visit and my choice of Drs was a good one.
