Had a good first impression. Very nice however always late. Everyone is running behind in that office, though. My impression of him has not changed. He is a good surgeon.
His staff is very nice. A bit more prompt than the doctor but only a bit. If I had to "complain", I would say his tardiness is what I liked least. I guess everything I have already typed is what future patients should know about him, Nice but not very prompt. He emphasizes after care more than most. He has a Bariatric Weight Institute in Huntsville that is helpful to people before and after surgery. Yes he does thoroughly discuss the risks of surgery.
I would rate Dr. Facundus as an excellent. The heck with the tardiness, he is worth it. I would say he is equal in bedside manner and surgical competence.
I was very impressed with him. He was very friendly and helpful. My impression has not changed. The office staff is very firendly and helpful as well. The least thing I liked was the amount of wait time between starting the process of the surgery and actually meeting the doctor. Dr. Facundus is very strict about meeting with a support group before surgery. After care is very structured, at my pre-op meeting I was given a list of dates and times of further visits. He identified all the risks and was unafraid to answer all of my questions. I would rate him an 8 so far. I think both surgical competence and bedside manner are both important.
very impressed with Dr. the first visit.
He was very informative and professional.
His office staff was very friendly and helpful.
I can't think of anything I did not like about him.
He stresses follow up visits very much.
Follow up visits are with a nutritionist.
His surgical competence is the reason I chose this specific Dr., his bedside manner is great also.
When I first saw Dr. Facundus, the impression that I got was ohh how handsome. I then had to snap back to reality and think about why I was there. Over all he is a very knowledgeable and nice. He is also straight forward and straight to the point. He lets you know exactly what your getting into prior to the procedure. The entire experience was great. He is and was the best doctor I have ever had. His follow up was astounding and his staff is awesome to. Especially Stacy, she is a doll. Over all I give doctor Facundus and his staff a 100%
Dr. Facundus was a very good surgeon. My first impression of him was a very good one he really seemed to care about me. The staff was also very helpful.I would recommend him to anyone who truly wants to to something for themselves. He really wants you to do as your'e told to have a very good outcome. He addressed every aspect of the surgery. I would rate him well over a 10.
My first impression of Dr Facundus was that he was a very caring doctor, very smart and helpful. He truly cares and that means alot to me.
He explained all the risks and what to expect but made me feel very comfortable about my very serious decesion to have the surgery.
Thank you Dr Facundus for helping to change my life. You are always in my prayers.
My first impression of Dr F was that he was a very friendly person; easy to talk to etc. The office staff was and has been very helpful.(Thanks Crystal for all your help with the Ins info and everything else you've done! You've been great!)
I spoke with Dr. Fernandez first, and we went over the surgery, what would take place and all the specific info that I needed to know. Then when we finished, Dr. Facundus came in and looked over my history, asked me a couple of questions and we set the date. I had no complications that would delay the surgery so I am actualy going through the process faster than most people. I had an appointment with BWI on 10/1/04, met with the doctors on 11/2/04 and my surgery is set for 11/10/04.
If you are looking into the surgery, don't expect to be processed that quickly. If you are healthy, approved by your insurance and have nothing to set you back, you may go though quickly. I guess that would all depend on the circumstances. Good Luck to You ALL!
My first impression of Dr. Facundus was that he is a very handsome man. He has a great bedside manner, very patient as well as very informative as well as being very gentle. He made sure I was aware of all risk with this surgery. Just a very friendly person.
His staff has been very friendly.
The thing that I hated was the waiting in the room. It took so long before he got to me. I am aware there were other patients and he is a very busy man. But this was terrible.
He asked if I knew the risk and then went over them again to make sure I was aware of them.
His overall rate would be a 8.
Both his bedside manner and competence was wonderful.
