He is very quiet. Although he is quiet he is very informative. He is very caring and really wants to help.

My first impression was that he is very knowledgable about what he does. I went in wanting a revision from a vbg and he explained things very cleary and made sure I understood what it was I am getting into. The office staff is awesome. They are always so pleasant to talk to and make you feel like your the only patient. The only downside is that sometimes during your appointment you have to wait a little bit but that is okay with me. I haven't had my surgery yet all my stuff is done and I am just waiting on Leah to call me to schedule but I do know that they have a extensive aftercare program I don't know yet what it consist of but hopefully I will know by the middle of next month. Dr. Stewart explained to me that the risks are a little greater because this is a redo but I'm definitly ready to take it. So far overall I would rate a 9 but lets see after the surgery.

I would highly recommend Dr Stewart. he is very very up to date and very knowledgeable. there was not a question he could not answer for me. his staff is wonderful. which i wouldnt expect anything but the best working for Dr. stewart. he commens the best people that understands our wants and needs. there was never a time when i called his office that Leah, Rose, Chrys, and Dr. Stewart could not help me with ANY question i had/have. I have not had the surgery yet, but i feel very happy to know that Dr. Stewart/Leah will do everything in their power to have me start my new reborn life.

He was very friendly and knowledgeable.

I have not really dealt with him (yet)since the first seminar.
They are nice, but you really have to make sure they are looking at your file when you ask them questions over the phone(don't assume they are).

He really emphasized the aftercare, they talked about it for several hours in the seminar. His program seems great and comprehensive.
He gave us a lot of info. regarding the risks of all types of wls.
I would rate him and his staff an 8 out of 10.
I would say both seem great.

Dr Stewart seemed really nice. He is doing things a little different. The day started @ 8:00 am at The North Texas Hospital(it's new), and a group us(9) filled out a bunch of paperwork, and then Leah(patient co-ordinator spoke about a couple things). Then Dr Conte, a psychologist came in and lectured on Behavioral Modification(change thinking). She seems very nice. Then, Dr Stewart came in explained all the different types of surgery there are out there, and what he does and what he believes in. He does the Gastric Bypass, Open and laporscopic.

I chose him due to past patients comments on this website, AND he is an Aetna provider. He is approved to administer the 3 month multi-disciplinary regimen before surgery, which is one requirement Aetna has. Since I had beenlooking for a doctor to do this, he was the only one I found. He believes in aftercare, you must pay $1000.00 for it(includes fight w/insurance if need be). My insurance will pay everything else when I am approved, so I felt the $1000.00 was reasonable. His Patient co-ordinator Leah, is wonderful, and has had the surgery, and lost over 200lbs. When any questions arise, she has welcomed us to call her. At bout 1:00 pm Dr Stewart gave us tiome for lunch, and we had to be at his office at 1:30 pm. I got there a little early, and was the 2nd one there. The next step was to see Chris Dr Stewart's nurse. She went over health history, took blood pressure etc...Then there was a wait, while I waited for Dr Stewart. He came in and went over my history and checked some vitals. He said I could start the 3 month program today! After that Leah came in with homework for the next visit(i.e. bllod work, stress test etc). I left sometime after 4:00pm. It was a long day, but I am on my way. Everyone in Dr Stewart's office is very nice, and I would reccommend him to anyone..

Dr. Stewart is a soft spoken, very informative, very caring doctor. He spent 3 hours going over everything about obesity and the surgery to a group of 5 of us, then he met with us 1 on 1. I was very impressed. His whole staff was great. Everyone was very knowledgable and eager to help in any way. Leah is the co-ordinator and she has had the surgery herself, so that makes it nice.
