Dr. Daryl Stewart appeared very knowledgeable and sincere from the beginning and remains that way postop.
Great office staff, very helpful
Risks were discussed in great detail,
even concerns about our Local hospital not having equipment for over 350 pounds were discussed and then actually these things became an important issue.
The hospital staff that has had some specific training was wonderful, however there are a lot of staff that still needed more insight into this particular sugery and aftercare.
First of all - Dr. Stewart is now in Denton, TX after moving here from Little Rock.
I liked him very much when I met him. He seems genuinely concerned with the problems faced by those of us who are obese.
His office staff was very nice.
The thing I like least is that he spends WAY too long on the pre op slide show. It was the same slide show that he presented in his information seminar about obesity surgery. I got there at 9 am and he showed slides until 1200. Most of it was information on procedures that I had already decided I didn't want.
I think he gave my case a very thorough overview. He is very firm about after care. He carefully went over all the risks of surgery.
I will post more when I have had the surgery.
I had the greatest surgeon!! He has a wonderful bedside manner and is very skilled. I had no problems at all.
At first I thought he was very quite untill I got to know him better.
The office staff is terrific. Very nice and helpful. I didn't have to do much at all they coached my everystep of the way. They answered my questions before I even asked them...lol
I can't say that there was anything I least liked about Dr Stewart, oh yea that he is moving to Dallas.... ;(
He is a very caring and sincere Dr that wants the best for you and your health.
Aftercare is a vital part of surgery and let me know upfront that I would need to followup closly.
He told me in very bluntly the risks of this surgery. Not to scare me but he wanted to make sure I was aware of all the risks.
100% I love what he has done for me, I will always be greatful to him. He has truly changed my life. I know now just how much I was just surviving as apposed to now... I am living life not just witnessing it.
Both....I think we get to the point of having such low self asteem the last thing we need is a surgeon that just treats us like cattle getting branded....get em in do the job, slap them on the rump and out you go.
