Dr. Stewart is the greatest. I would recommend him to everyone. rnHis staff is excellent. Leah is the best!!!!rnHe is on the quiet side.rnrnJust spoke with my Insurance yesterday and they should be sending my letter soon saying that my approval is with Dr. Stewart. I am soooo happy. I was figuring that I would wait until February because I really didn't want to be out for Christmas, but now since there is a possibility that I can have it before I may have it then. Would give me extra days to recoup because I am off for school X-mas holidays for 2 weeks. That would mean less days that I would be away from my students. I will update when I know more.rnrnI am now starting with Dr. Stewart. I have an appointment with him on August 29th and WOW I will actually get to see him that day too. I am already approved for surgery, hoping that he can get a date soon after the consult.rnrnYou maybe thinking what's the big deal? Well some doctors such as my first surgeon see you 2 weeks before you have your surgery and that's it. You listen to them at the seminar and wait to get approved before he will even see you. you only get to talk to the coordinator. As you can figure, I am not happy with my previous doctor. I wasted a lot of time and money. Now because of having to change doctors, my new deductible and out of pocket start over. I needed to have surgery before the 1st of Sept. My advice to anyone is: If the doctor will not see you to consult before approved, find another doctor. If it doesn't feel right, then find a doctor that it does feel right.rnrnDr. David Kim (the first surgeon)rnrnI haven't had my official consultation, but went to his seminar. He seems like an excellent doctor. rnDrawback is that he will not see you until you are approved. rn

New Surgeon: Daryl Stewart rnFIRST IMPRESSION: He is a very serious guy, but maybe he is really just shy, and I am NOT LOL I was impressed with his seminar, and I mean that. I have been to numerous seminars, and his was by far the best I have attended. Dr Stewart spoke, took questions, and never once rushed to finish \"on ti8me\" he was all about making sure folks had the answers to any and all questions they had. The longer he spoke, the more you can see his care and concern for people. Now we will see what kind of cutter he is LOL Actually I am fully confident to be one of his uhhh number 1-99 surgeries LOL. Dr Stewart is new to DS by the numbers, but has done 1000's of RNY ect. I know he is a capable surgeron, and humble enough not to take on something he has not mastered. I respect that in him. His staff are GREAT, KIND, SWEET, FUNNY folks, you just have to love em. Although I am betting Leah/corrdinator would like me to have lost her number LOL (love ya woman! )rnrnrnrnBELOW IS LAP BAND SURGEONrnrnFirst impression: knew he was a good surgeon. It was only recently that I really discovered I had made a huge mistake in using him. I really NEVER thought aftercare was of any concern to me. Heck I actually never even thought I would need it. I am here to tell you...that was a HUGE MISTAKE! Little Miss 10 foot tall and bullet proof NEEDS aftercare...lol as well as a support group. Dr Hamm doesn't seem to care much about his patients after the surgery is finished. His office staff are all very nice and friendly people. Some in the office are a little slow, and not quite as honest about what and when things have been done. That was disappointing. I would highly suggest that one thinking about this surgery really consider the fact that with the band, you have to have this doc in your life for a long time. Since that is the case REALLY interview docs & their patients and find one who REALLY CARES ABOUT YOU!! Not one that seems to care more about the \"cattle call\" and how many can get \"done\" in a week. I know this sounds very critical, and I am sorry but I have waited a few months before I would comment on this, in case it was just me being moody or something....lol. As far as telling you the risks of surgery he goes over it, lol almost the same as a police officer reading you your Miranda rights. LOL Now remember I am writing this from my OWN POINT A VIEW. Y'all may have another perspective on him as your doc. Best Wishes to y'all on your journey :)

'My first impression of Dr. Stewart was that he was very serious about his job. He really put alot of care into his profession. The staff is great! Everyone is friendly and talk in down to earth terms. They are easily understood. What I like most about Dr. Stewart is that he was able to work with some very good Doctors in Little Rock

Dr Stewart was very shy when I met him and a man of few words. His surgical ability was incredible and the after-care he demanded from the hospital during my stay was amazing.

I have been very pleased with my experience with Dr. Stewart and his staff. Dr. Stewart is very informative and I like his policies. He doesn't have you do a preop liquid diet or bowel prep. For postop, he moves you along to real food very quickly. His aftercare program is excellent and Leah is a valuable asset to the program. She is available to the patient at all times for any and all questions or concerns. She took care of filing the insurance paperwork and is a licensed nutritionist as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Stewart.

I really liked Dr. Stewart. He is always great about answering all of my questions. He is very knowledgeable about what he does. He is easy to talk to and is very responsive to any calls I have made to the office. I checked out his background and training extensively and felt very comfortable in choosing him to do my surgery. So many of the surgeons I checked into seem only to be in it for the money and is a cattle call, but Dr. Stewart wasn't that way at all. He truly seems to care about making a healthier me. The whole staff is great and are very personable. They make a big effort to know all the patients and make you feel good when you come in for an appointment. Leah did an awesome job with the insurance filing and in general is always available for all my little questions. They have been awesome. I would recommend them without hesitation. Thanks!!!!!

I really like Dr. Stewart. He explains everything in great detail. He comes across as very genuine and caring; not at all pushy. The office staff is super, they are always friendly and helpful. Aftercare is structured, with monthly support meetings.

I felt very confident having Dr. Stewart perform my surgery. I had an open RNY two weeks ago and my incision has healed very nicely. I would recommend Dr. Stewart to friends and family members considering this surgery.

He seems to really know alot about the surgery. I have only met him 1 time so far so I do not have a big opinion about him yet.
