I had an amazing exeperience with Dr. Boe. He was so infomrative and never lied to me about anything. He kept me on track and had a wonderful staff that helped through the whole process.
He did my surgery November 2005 and I came out with flying colors and Dr.Boe and his staff helped me through everything. I couldn't be happier!
I met with Dr. Boe on 6/2/05. He was very nice! He explained everything in great detail. Even though I've done a lot of research I learned a great deal in talking with him. He spent plenty of time talking to me; I did not feel rushed at all! He is definantely the surgeon I want to do my RNY. The office is very nice and the staff were nice as well. So now I just wait for insurance approval.
9/29/05 Just wanted to update my surgeons review as a post op- I still cannot say anything but great things about Dr.Boe. He was very kind before surgery and joked with me afterwards! My surgery took only alot less time than was expected and everything went great. I would recommend him to anyone!
I couldn't ask for a better surgeon. He is very compassionate and is great to talk to. He listens and truly emphasises on communication to help my recovery. The staff in Belvidere were great too. I have a good sense of humor so I appreciate nurses and staff that are able to joke with you. Overall experience was excellent.
Dr. Boe is a wonderful Doctor. I think the most important thing about him is his experience and past record. He had a lot on his plate dealing with me because of conditions that existed in my stomach when he took me on. I came through this complicated surgery feeling better then when I went into the hospital. He had to remove a section of my stomach as well as repair two hernias and complete an RNY. I know everyone talks about how nice he is friendly etc. all of which is true but the results speak volumes. This man saved my life. Enough said!!
Dr. Boe was very nice and informative. He was not robotic or anything he answered all my questions and did not leave me guessing. I also like the fact the he knew about this web site and had a profile. I loved the reviews and the referrals I read on him.
I was very impressed by Dr. Boe right from the beginning. My views only improved postoperatively! He has a wonderful bedside manner and sense of humor. Really puts the patient at ease and I felt as if I was his 1# priority! Since his practice is through the Barix Clinics, he has a very structured aftercare program. He stressed aftercare has highly important. He even called me at home to see how I was doing- I had had a complication postoperatively and really appreciated that he called me personally! Felt that both his surgical competence & bedside manner were an A++ His office staff are also very nice.
Dr. Boe is the most caring surgeon I have ever met! He is very concerned that you understand everything and that all your questions are answered before the surgery (at the consultation and the day of the surgery). After the surgery he came in to see how I was doing each day. I had a minor complication and wound up back in his office on an emergency basis and he was very concerned and asked me what took me so long to contact him about the problem! He told me there's no reason I should have "suffered" (not that what happened to me was that bad at all). On a scale of 10, 10 being best I'd give him a 10+++++++!!
