Brian Boe Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

What can I say...Dr. Boe is a wonderful Doctor. He is very thorough and will only do the surgery if you understand all there is to the process and will commit to it. He has a wonderful bedside manner. Always willing to answer questions or concerns.

Dr. Boe, My name is Jim Healy. You did Lap Band on me last year in may. I called to get a fill and was informed that the center no longer exsits!!! I would like to know why I was NOT informed of this and would also like to know what I am to do now. I went through you because of the many years the Bariatric treatment centers have been around. Dr. Boe is AWESOME!!! I felt really comfortable meeting him and discussing my fears. For the first time I feel really comfortable having this surgery.

After meeting with Dr Boe, I felt more confident in my decision to move forward with the surgery and with Dr Boe. He seems to know what he's both talking about and doing - but does not rely on \"dr-speak\", rather he relates to people as equals. Seemed very honest about surgery pros and cons - I appreciated it.rnrnBoth Barix & Dr Boe seem to have a solid after-care program, I'll say more about it after I experience it.

Dr. Brian Boe was very attentive. He made everyone laugh a few times during out initial group consultation. I felt very secure with the infomation he shared with us as a group and also alone in our one on one meeting. I am still pre-op, but am happy with my decision to go with Dr. Boe and Barix Clinics.rn

So far I've seen only talked to Dr. Boe at my initial consult but was very impressed with him. I didn't feel hurried at all and he was thorough in describing the surgury. I hear from others that he is great to his patients while in the hospital also. I'm not worried...rnrnHad surgery May 5, 2003, and was very happy with Dr. Boe. He came to see me afterwards and stopped by a couple of other times during my stay at the BTC in Belvidere. The nurses seemed to like him too and told me he was a good doctor. All in all...A++rnrnRead in the paper today 1/19/07 that Barix is closing it's doors. My best to Dr. Boe where ever he goes.

I chose Barix in Belvidere because they were a preferred provider of my insurance, and because they seemed to expidite things and not drag them on like another facility I checked into. I made my initial appointment on a day when my 11 year old could visit a friend who lived about halfway of the 100 mile trip to Barix. My poor planning and not knowing enough to go AROUND Rockford from the direction I came resulted in me being about an hour late for my appointment. Fortunately, Dr. Boe was still agreed to see me and never made me feel bad about being so late. I was immediately impressed with his caring and friendly, yet informed manner, and felt very confident right away. He explained everything frankly and thoroughly and left me with no doubts. My surgery was Nov. 7; I have done WONDERFULLY and feel so good with my 58 lb. weight loss. I attribute my lack of complications and good health to this very competent and capable surgeon and the healthy dose of prayer on my behalf from many friends, and to a merciful God. During my post-op appointments, Dr. Boe has been just great. I also felt confident because a friend had her surgery with him exactly 3 years to the day before I did and she has done wonderfully too. He is TOPNOTCH! I cannot think of a single way that Dr. Boe could improve, and I am so grateful that he did my surgery. 10++++++

Dr. Boe was terrific from the first consultation to my two week follow up (I'm 3 weeks out)! He is intelligent, competent, and has an excellent bedside manner! He was very reassuring prior to surgery and quite encouraging after! Barix office staff are great, and the nursing staff was fanastic!! I was their only patient while I was there (11-27 to 11-29-06), and I felt very well taken care of. Aftercare is definitely emphasized, for which I am greatful. At my 2 week follow-up, I met with both Dr. Boe and the nutritionist; both were open and answered all my questions. I would strongly recommend him to anyone and everyone!!!

Dr Boe is one wonderful surgeon if you are looking into finding a surgeon. I was recommended to DR Boe by a friend who had the surgery with Dr Boe 4 years ago. I am glad I made the decision to go with Barix Clinics and Dr Boe, he is very confident in what he does and he has the best bed side manner and he is very caring!!rnrnI rate Dr Boe a 10!!!!

Had surgery on October 23rd. I think a great deal of Dr. Boe. He is easy to talk to, understands the struggle of those with serious weight problems, and is a skilled surgeon. I was very well taken care by my respritory therapists and nurses. rnrnI would recommend his service to anyone who is in need of it.
