What can I say about Dr. Snyder? The first word that comes to mind...WOW!!!! He is absolutely the best surgeon in Colorado. He is so compassionate about bariatric surgery. He truly loves what he does...and it shows! He has gone above and beyond to make his patients feel at ease..like family! I have NEVER felt more comfortable with a doctor in my entire life. He is on our side for once. Dr. Snyder and his office staff are wonderful about meeting the needs of the patients. Everyone in the office is so polite and helpful. In fact, several of his office staff have had gastric bypass surgeries performed by him!!! You have to have a lot of energy to keep up with Dr. Snyder!! But all the more exciting and entertaining!

I met Dr. Chae for the first time on Feb. 14th and my impression of him was a good feeling. He seemed to be honest and answer all of our questions. My husband had specific questions regarding his concerns, Dr. Chae addresses his questions as well. I am a little nervous and excited at the same time. I have a surgery date scheduled. (4/28/03)

I was first introduced to Dr. Chae and his staff nearly a year ago on a referral from my PCP. I was totally impressed from word one. Susie is absolutely wonderful, bent over backwards to help me and has continued ever since. Kelly, the nutritionist is fantastic, very helpful and caring, and really knows her stuff.

My husband was concerned that they were just there to "sell" me on having the surgery. That didn't happen. Dr. Chae was extremely concerned about some issues I had and actually suggested that I not consider the surgery until I had taken care of these potential problems. Because I wanted to have the surgery so bad I listened to him and did as he asked. Honestly, it was a good thing I did because I went to my GYN to find out about reducing my extremely heavy periods and discovered that I had Level III Carcinoma of the cervix. I am nearly a year post-op from my hysterectomy, other issues are resolved, or almost so, and I'm ready for the surgery NOW.

In my opinion, Dr Chae is a very comforting person. I feel confident of his abilities, his care of me as a person, not just a number, and that together we have made the correct decision for me. He outlined the benefits and risks of each type of surgery, which one would be best for me and both times has offered alternative suggestions (i.e. less invasive) before choosing the RNY. I do not feel that he has pushed me into accepting this surgery just because that's the only one he does.

I've found their office to be busy but not overly so. I've never waited more than about 15 minutes. Their staff is professional, and caring. I've worked in a busy medical office before so maybe I'm a little more understanding of what they are going through. I'm ready to do this tomorrow, it can't happen soon enough. The only thing negative is how far out he is scheduled but that really can't be helped. The have options in place to move up your surgery date if at all possible.

I have nothing but nice things to say about Dr. Snyder. I was able to choose from most of the surgeons in Colorado and I CHOSE Dr. Snyder. I attended his seminar in September and scheduled my first consultation for March.

The seminar was very informative and for the first time in my life I felt understood and as if my obesity wasn't completely my fault. It was the first time I felt a doctor understood our plight as MO individuals and I took a big sigh of relief. Any fears I might have had disappeared the minute I heard him speak. He was very compassionate and he understands that obesity is a disease and not merely lack of will power or laziness.

I was most impressed with his staff and the aftercare program which was very important to me. I didn't want a surgeon who performed surgery on me and then didn't care what happened afterward. He claims his patients become part of his family and is persistent about post op care. That really eased my mind and gave me a lot of faith in him.

I could go on and on about Dr. Snyder and his staff but I'll close with this. I am trusting this man with my life and I feel very confident in the choice I made. Best of luck to all of you in your weight loss journies.

My first impression about Dr. Michael Snyder was a very good one. He is a well educated, yet down to earth doctor. His empathy and understanding toward/of the overweight population helped me to feel more comfortable. My impression of him has only grown over time. He is one of the most involved doctors I have ever met. If there is a question all I have to do is page him on his personal pager and he calls me back within 10 minutes. His staff is great. Overall they share the same thoughts as he does. Future patients should know that if they are looking for a doctor who will make them feel as though they are individuals and not just numbers/cases then he is the perfect doc for them. After care is everything. Dr. Snyder offers support groups and is available at any time to answer questions. His approach is straight forward, and I appreciate that. I would highly reccomend him to any patient considering WLS.

I feel very at ease after having my first meeting with Dr. Chae. He seems very competent and intelligent, which is certainly more important to me than bedside manner, about which I couldn't care much less. I feel like I will be very safe in his hands. His staff is fantastic as well. The patient coordinator, Susie, especially; She seems almost as excited for me as I am for myself.

DR. SNYDER IS A VERY KNOWLEDGABL YET EMPATHETIC DOC. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS EXPERTISE. I THINK THAT HIS STATS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. HE IS NOW ABOVE ALL NATIONAL AVERAGES AS FAR AS THE SUCCESS RATE OF HIS PATIENTS.
HE IS A HANDS ON DOC. VERY INVOLVED WITH ALL ASPECTS OF THE SURGERY PRE AND POST OP. HE CONDUCTS SUPPORT GROUPS AND IS AN EDUCATOR. HIS OFFICE IS FRIENDLY AND THEY TOO SHARE THE KNOWLEDGE.

I first heard of Dr. Snyder through my primary care physician. Most of what I heard were GREAT things, and my doctor wrote a referral to go see him. I found out from his office you needed to attend one of his seminars before making an appointment with him. I think it's excellent that Dr. Snyder has this as opportunity for people who are interested in the surgery. My first impression of Dr. Snyder was, "WOW...... a doctor who really does care about the obesity and what I've been going through." The seminar was a little over 2hrs long, but so well worth it. Take someone with you to this seminar, I highly recommend it.
Dr. Snyder is a very thorough, caring, energetic person, who really cares about helping obese patients start a new life.

I met Dr. Snyder on Oct. 23rd and found him to be very easy to talk to and knowledgeable. I was at ease and felt very comfortable with him as my choice to do this surgery. Pending no issues from my insurance co. (Cigna PPO) he said he would schedule my surgery before the end of the year...so keep your fingers crossed for me!
