Dr. Michael Snyder is the most wonderful person you could ever meet. He is professional, friendly, and most of all he knows what he is doing. I would recommend Dr. Snyder very highly to anyone looking into having gastric bypass surgery. I feel like I owe my life to Dr. Snyder, he gave me back my health and happiness. He is always there to talk to and I respect and trust him completely. Assistant Pete is a great guy as well, after my surgery he was always there for me too. He is also wonderful. Dr. Snyder's office staff are also very helpful and friendly. This could have been a bad experience, but for me, it was good all the way around.rnrnThank you all so very much.rnrnJudy
I was approved for my surgery,rnon MAY 22, 2007. That day has changed me into A new person! Health wise my diabitis, high blood pressure, and hypertension is gone....The pain on my right side is gone...I can bend, walk a long ways without getting tired, and my self confidence is back! I've gone from a size 18 to a size 7 and I can wear DESIGNER jeans! WOW!! ALL TO THE THANKS OF THE MOST KIND, CARING DOCTOR IN THE WORLD....Dr Frank Chae!! He made me feel hope for the first time in a long time! I told him I needed to change my depressing life that I had endured since my devastating divorce AND business that I had devoted my life to for 25 years all of love and hard work.rnAS OF TODAY, I HAVE LOST 102 POUNDS! I have a new fabulous career and the people I work with are so grateful and unbelieveably real and appreciate me for what I do for them.rnDR. CHAE was not only knowledgeable about the surgery, his bedside manner was incredible! He's a very soft spoken, caring, individual. He has A genuine concern for his patients and their health. He addressed my risks completely, and answered ALL of my questions and concerns to the point! rnHe requires A FABULOUS nutrition class which lasts for 5 hours, taught BY Kelly Elliot..what a nut. She's awesome!! I learned more in her 5 hour class than I ever dreamed of! I WOULD TAKE THAT SAME CLASS OVER AGAIN IN A SECOND!rnI will reccomend Dr. Chae and Ms Elliott over and over ...they are the best around! The BEST surgery experience I've ever had! Well he was a great listner and seemed concernd for me and my issues. Very educated and a great laproscopic md. Everyone in the office was warm, inviting, helpful and full or great knowledge. All the risks were laid out very well almost too well hehe. My case was a revision and difficult so he teamed up with Dr. Brown so I got the best care. I believe you need both bedside manner and surgical competence because if you do the surgery great and his bedside manner is bad. Half the time you are thinking about how rude he is an not what he is saying about aftercare and follow up care. I would most definatly recomend him or dr brown to all pts'
Dr. Snyder was recommended to me by my brother-in-law, who is also a bariatric surgeon. Matt (my brother-in-law) thought very highly of Dr. Snyder and boy was he correct. rnrnI've had my first meeting with Dr. Snyder and he \"hit the nail\" on the head with me. My husband and I attended his seminar and we were both very impressesd with all of the information that was covered and the great energy that Dr. Snyder exudes. It's very clear that he loves what he does for his patients and does \"whatever it takes\" to ensure patient safety and well-being. At least, that's my first impression.
Dr. Chae is probably the nicest doctor I have met. He was very friendly and always described exactly what would and did happen. He always asked if I had any questions and took time to answer any questions I did have. I've never felt that I could be in any better hands.
Dr Snyder performed gastric bypass on my husband in 2004. He is a caring individual with a wonderful personality.rnHis office staff is very professional.rn

WOW! Dr. Synder is awesome. There is not one word that can just sum things up about Dr. Synder and his staff. He melts your heart with his overall kindness and caring for each individual. He leaves no questions unanswered. His staff followers in his steps. Dolly I thank you for your quick response to me in getting me approve for surgery. Cindi, thank you for the processing of my documents for work related. rnrnI love going into the office, from the moment that you walk into the door, you can feel the warmth and relax feeling of care. WHAT A FEELING!rnrn I had my surgery on April 14, 2008 and what a difference already.
Dr. Snyder gives a very direct and eye opening seminar. He tells you that your obsity is not 100% your fault and that his program gives you the tools to loose, maintain and learn to live life again. He gives you real hope with a real route to get there.
The entire program is so well layed out. You get a everything explained to you, you will have a bible to guide your progress from pre-surgery to day to day from surgery, recovery in the hospital to what you need to do at home for care, diet, exercise for the rest of your life, etc. You get this bible befor surery so you have all the information of before and after care, know the risks, know the warning signes, know what you need to do, etc. You can truly feel confident knowing 100% of what you will be dealing with for the surgery and the rest of your life. It puts you in the driver seat!
Dr. Snyder is so caring, positive and just so empathetic. He is a master at these types of surgeries with a phenominal sucess rate. He really understands each issue and how it is effecting you - he has solutions. His nursing staff have all been through surgery themselves with either Gastric Bypass surgery or Lab band and have a strong reality with every issue you may have to deal with from food issues, physical capabilities, excercise you name it. They are all such competant resourses for help.
