Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Center for Weight Management at St. Francis Hospital
Who the heck likes going to the hospital? If you've got to go, then it's good to be going to St. Francis. Excellent care and customer service is the highest priority. Plus, I see the same people working there when we go back. I think that say's something positive, to see the same friendly faces. Must be a good place to work, as well.
The surgery staff was excellent, however, the after care staff was questionable. I had some very good nurses and some very poor nurses. I was told by one nurse that she did not like being a nurse. This is also the same nurse that failed to come and attach my leg cuffs ( to prevent blood clots). I had called her twice and spoke to someone, I fell asleep waiting for her to come.
Several of the staff were very sweet and caring. It took a while to get help - though I know they are busy. When I took my walks around the nurses station they would hardly look at me let alone give a smile. That bothered me that they were too busy to notice the patients. Also made me wonder if it was my size or the type of surgery I had that made them ignore me. When we did talk, the nurses were very nice and helpful.
