My first impression of him was that he reminded me of my grandfather he was really patient and understanding.
The office staff was great they are so freidnly and understanding.
The aftercare program he emphasizes a great deal on what I should and should not be doing. Dr. Brown did address the risks that take place during surgery and he assured me that it does not happen to often.
I rate him as an excellent doctor and I would recommend him to anyone/
Very nice man, very understanding of my situation, very knowledgeable. His office staff is great. They are very helpful and reassuring. They realize there is a lot to digest and arrange prior to surgery and help with everything they can.
He is contracted with Kaiser to perform the surgery and Kaiser has great pre-surgery care and after care in place to be sure you have all the support and information you need to suceed.
Dr. Brown is wonderful. I have worked with a lot of intelligent folks through my employment at universities, including UCHCS. It is very seldom one finds an intelligent and gifted medical doctor who has a great personality. Dr. Brown is one of these people.
He is extremely thorough -- went over test results for me very late at night and had the nurse deliver his message to me. This was after two others reviewed the test results.
I was referred through Kaiser to Dr. Brown. However, Kaiser has a 12 week pre-surgery class that you MUST attend and goals that you must meet as well before you can even be referred! Also, Kaiser follow-up is tremendous as well. Extremely thorough.
I can say that Dr. Brown and Kaiser group have been very supportive of the whole process. Dr. Brown's staff treats you like you are one of their group -- even though they coordinate everything with Kaiser.
I don't have much negative to say about Thomas Brown or his staff. I am very impressed and pleased with his attention to detail.
Dr Brown has a dry sense of humor. But, he is very thorough with how he describes the procedure and when questions were asked. He was very knowledgeable about the surgery and even went through the history of gastric bypass surgery.
Dr Brown's office staff are wonderful. They were very helpful in making sure that all of the appointments were scheduled and that all of the lab tests were in order.
People should know that they are in good hands with Dr Brown. He cares about each of his patients and that shines through in his work.
Dr Brown's office has a one year followup program, with which I see the dietician and/or him when I come in for my checkup. He also has a wonderful support group that meets reguarly and I can contact the dietician any time that I have a question or concern about something.
Dr Brown lays out all of the risks, answered my questions and my husbands, and put us at ease with his responses.
I would give Dr Brown a great big 10!!!
I would have to say that his surgical competence far out weighs his bedside manner, but that is what was most important to me.
Dr. Brown and his staff are the best. Kim has been great with taking care of all the information for the insurance company. Everyone there listens to you like you are a real person and they REALLY care. All of my questions and fears were answered and handled with care and respect. An overall rating for Dr. Brown and staff would be a 10 out of 10.
I found Dr. Brown to be very caring, patient, knowledgeable, and reassuring. The staff was kind and always took the time to get to know me. Anna took time out of her busy schedule to check on me after business hours after I returned to Colorado Springs. We did not know how well known he was natioanlly for his work until, after the surgery, while I was recovering in my hospital room at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital (a very nice, comfortable place with a very caring staff), My husband and I were watching the Discovery Medical channel, and they were doing a story on Dr. Brown! This is definitely a Dr. I would reccommend to anyone seeking the procedure.
The staff at Dr. Browns office were all very nice and very helpful. When I met Dr. Brown he was very informative, but did not have much of a personallity. I asked him very pointed questions and he answered them all honestly, which I appreciated. I really didn't care about his personallity, but rather how good he is in the operating room. He did a beautiful job on me during surgery, and he was surprized at how well I did. He said that a person as heavy as me usually has more troubles, he was very glad that I didn't. Overall I enjoyed the entire experience and would whole heartedly do it again. I would definately recomend Dr. Brown to anyone!!!
