i really like dr brown. he has a great sense of humor and is very matter of fact about things. he has given me all of the information and supported my decision making process. the office staff are great and while it is not the fanciest place i have ever been i feel really good about my choice.

My first impression of Dr. Brown was and is still a very caring Professional man. Everything that was asked towards him, he answered with honesty and straight forward, which is one thing that I like in a Dr. The staff that was working with him on the day of my surgery where very professional but also caring and made me feel more at ease than ever.I would tell anyone that wants to go to for the Lap Band is to make the drive to Denver, Co and see Dr Brown because he is in my book for an outstanding Dr. as with the whole team of Dr. Thomas Browns office.

I felt that Dr Brown was very knowledgable and competant. His office staff was very friendly and helpful. I could tell that the hospital staff regarded him with great respect.rnBecause I had complications (leak) I felt that he spent a lot of time with me, his bedside manner was very good. With Dr Brown, I was very impressed with his care and would recommend him to other people considering weight loss surgery. If I had a loved one needing surgery for their bowels or bariatric I would want him to do it. His nurse practicioner, Allison, was great and very smart about this surgery. Dr Brown and Allison seemed to work very well as a team.rnI know that this review may appear superfiscial to some because I don't have any negatives, but I was really impressed with Dr Brown and Allison. I must also state that because I am a nurse I am not easily impressed by doctors. I work with them all the time and know that they are just human and have flaws like everyone else.

I met Dr Brown at my pre-op visit 5 days before my surggery, and he was very understanding and reassuring about how the surgery works and made sure to answer all of my questions. My impression was the same while I was getting ready for surgery and in the hospital. The office staff are very friendly and supportive. They have a great website and the hospital has a great video online about the program. The only thing I didn't like so much was that he couldn't really answer my question about how me having CPOS would impact my ability to lose weight after surgery and if he had any suggestions. He emphasized aftercare alot with the support groups and follow up appointments. They have a well rounded program for aftercare at Colorado Bariatric Surgical Institute. Risks were a big concern for me in choosing RNYGB, and he did address all of those risks. I would rate him and the program EXCELLANT overall. I would say that his surgical competance and experience is best, but he is a very nice man as well.

Dr. Brown has a wiry sense of humor, but is a man who is talented and understands the plight of the obese person to do this surgery. His skills as a surgeon tho, are out of this world! His staff is friendly knowledgable and makes you feel comfortable. Future patients should know you are in good hands. He and his staff work closely, and you will be taken care of. I would rate Dr. Brown and his staff a 10 out of a 10. Very caring, kind and honest. Has a great surgerical competence ad wonderful bedside manner. He will take care of you!

dr thomas brown did my surgery and i couldnt have asked for a more caring, giving person.rnfor someone i only had met a couple of weeks prior he was very reassuring to both myself and my husband, taking time to sit and talk with us both and answer all our questions. the day after my surgery was the big snow storm in denver and dr brown made sure to get into the hospital to check on his patients - he didnt have to but he did anyway....i couldnt have asked for a better doctor!!

I actually went into the Dr.'s office to support my younger sister. She was having hormonal problems, after many months of having medical problems, the only link that any of ALL the many Dr.'s she went to with the goal of identifying her \"problem\" and in search of a solution, she and I requested and studied all of her physicians notes. The only \"common link\" to her problem was that she was \"morbidly obese\". I did WLS research, obtained a Dr.'s name, scheduled a visit and went in to meet the Dr. rnDr. Browns secretary (at the time - Mary) was very helpful. My sister and I did all of the \"pre-op\" stuff we had to do and ended up having surgery 1 day apart. Dr. Browns office would receive a D- in the \"follow-up\" Depart. It took weeks and weeks of dumping and just getting sicker and sicker (never asked me to come in despite the many calls made to his office) he never asked that I come in for an apt to see him. Staff asked I come in (once) and see a med. assistant?? Who was \"nice\" enough, just could never \"get it right\" consequently, my sister did great... and I went into congenital heart failure a few months later.

I couldn't have had a better first impression of Dr. Brown or his staff. Everyone there was extremely kind and sympathic...and they actually listened and believed what I had to say. I can honestly say the only thing I didn't like about the first visit was having my picture taken. I don't think you could find a more upbeat, pleasant, and confident staff. They were quick to answer any and all questions and spend whatever time I needed with me. The office puts together an awesome notebook and it gets a get overview of what to expect before, during, and after surgery. I felt Dr. Brown's office addressed the risks of the surgery quite well and yet did not overwhelm you with them. The accented the positive, which is what I needed. On a scale of one to 10, I would rank Dr. Brown and his staff 10+. Everything about my experience to this point was great.rnrnI had a very bad second day post op....Dr. Brown, very confident I was doing okay, looked me directly in my eyes and told me I was doing great. I have dealt with panic and anxiety all my life and he knew exactly what I needed. My husband too, has been very impressed with every aspect of my care.
