I liked Dr. Simpson first time I met him. He knows his stuff, and that makes me confident that I have chose the right surgeon. He has a good sense of humor. He definately emphasizes aftercare which I think is good, I feel like I will always be able to count on him with any cares or concerns I might have.

DR SIMPSON WAS THE FIRST SEMINAR THAT I ATTENDED. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY HIS KINDNESS AND HONEST WORDS. I THEN ATTENDED MY FIRST APPOINTMENT AND STARTED THE BALL ROLLING TOWARDS MY NEW FUTURE. HIS OFFICE STAFF HAS BEEN GREAT. THE BIG SELLING POINT TO ME WAS THAT HE ATTENDS THE AFTERCARE MEETINGS HIMSELF AND NOT JUST THE STAFF. I LOOK FOWARDS TO A NEW BEGINING SOON.

Dr. Simpson is great. No my impression has not changed with time. His office staff is the best. What I liked the least - well lets see..... I think it is the fact that he is married..... :( Just kidding. There is no least. Future patients should know that he will tell it like it is, straight up! The aftercare he said is verry imporant. Yes he has support group meetings to help with any questions and it helps with any info on health you my have. About the address of the risks - like I said, he tells it like it is. Over all I would rate Dr. Sinmpson on a scale from 1-10, He would be a 12! He has the best bedside manner I have ever seen for a doctor. He is more like a friend rather than your doctor. I guess you could say, I you choose Dr. Simpson you will have a Dr. and a friend for life..

I am going to Terry Simpson for a revision to a DS he is very Supportive, great follow up and he even conducts his own support meetings. You can e-mail him and actually get an answer.

Office staff very nice and helpful.

He has a very structured after care program. I didn't get that the first time.I had the surgery.

He was very upfront about the risks involved with a second surgery.

I wish I had gone here first.

In my first meeting with Dr. Simpson,he was very informative. My impression was this man truly cares about ME, and what surgery was best for ME. My impression of Dr. S has growing to become one that I can completly trust and count on. He has always returned my e-mail questions within minutes. He has a kind smile and a spark in his eyes. I can tell that this very special man loves his job. I believe he has the best job in the world because he has changed so many of our lives. At my first support meeting I felt like I was with family. I can tell you that everyone in that room loves him.
The staff does a outstanding job and makes you feel so completly informed about the process. They are a very caring group of wonderful people.
There is not one thing I don't like about him.
Future patients should know that you are not just anotheer number or just a fat person walking into his office. We, his patients become fast friends and it is so refreshing to go for my check ups and walk through his door hearing laughter from his patients.

I was scheduled for Lap/RNY with Dr. Juarez on Oct 1 after a 10 month wait.

I elected to change to Dr. Simpson and have the DS procedure. He has a completely different approach to treatment from Dr Juarez. It has taken me 2 months to get the new date of Nov. 3 with Dr. Simpson.

So far I am impressed both with Dr. Simpson and with his office staff.

Dr Simpson takes a lot of time and effort to make sure of a "one on one" relationship. For example Dr. Simpson's classes are 4-5 people at a time as compared to 200 at a time with other programs!

11/2004 (One year post op and AT GOAL WEIGHT! Now 200lb and HOLDIN! Down 200lb overall and 130lb since surgery)

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Simpson and his staff! They have been helpful every step of the way.

A very large part of the WLS program is the post op follow up and Dr. Simpson's follow up program is first class.

The only people who seem to have problems are the ones who never come to group meetings and don't pay attention at the pre-op briefings.

I actually spoke to one woman who was outraged that she couldn't eat as much after the surgery! (DUH!!!)

Learn all you can and do everything you are told and you will have good results!

There IS a lot of help out there, but you DO have to ask for it!

I thought Dr. Simpson was a good choice right from the start. He was straight forward and not judgemental.
My impression of him has not changed.

His office staff has been helpful in everyway to get my approval done.
There is not anything I don't like about him.

That they don't do surgeries on out of state patients.

Aftercare is stressed from the very begining and there is a structured program in place.

He has addressed all the risks and all my concerns.
Excellant

From what I've heard from other patients both are good.

When I met him: I thought he was very nice.
Impression change over time:Not yet.
Office staff:I have been a little frustrated by them.
I like him:I think he is really funny

What should future patients know: ??
How much does he empahsize after care: Alot or so it would seem.
Structured after care: yes.
How does he address risks: He told it like it is!
How would I rate him overall: I'll get back to you on that.
Which is better surgical competence or bedside manner, or both: Surgical competence is most important, if they are jerks you can just ignore them, if they don't know what they are doing you can DIE! Both would be nice, I am certain the doc is.

June 14th, 2004 -- Making the decision to change surgeons from another surgeon to Dr. Simpson just 2 weeks before my surgery date was a difficult one. But after meeting Dr. Simpson at a local support meeting, and also reading more about the differenct kinds of WLS, I decided that the change was the best thing for me. I was very impressed with the concern Dr. Simpson has for his patients, and for his extensive after care program. I am awaitng my first appointment with Dr. Simpson and will find out when my new date is, as well as the specific type of surgery he would recommend.
August 25th, 2004 -- The time passed quickly and I had my surgery two days ago. I had the Lap Band done and am so glad for that less invasive choice. Dr. Simpson is not only a top notch surgeon, but a fine, caring human being as well. I can't say enough good about him, and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I have total faith in Dr. Terry Simpson. The more support groups that I attended the more admiration I felt. He has a great sense of humor and is fun to be around. I found his office staff to also be very helpful. Mary is his assistant and is an extrodinarly warm and caring person. I think that all patients of Dr. Simpson should know that he is genuine and cares a great deal about the success of his patients. He has an awsome program both for before your surgery and after. He has written a book that will help you to be well informed and also make you laugh. He address any and all concerns including risks. I rate him from a 1-10 a 10++++. I can not pin point any one quality over the other, he is an all around great choice.
