Dr. Simpson has provided time and attention to every question I had. I have never had a physician before that was so easy to access and communicate with. Examples: Immediately after surgery he gave his phone number to my family; two days after surgery I was quite ill. My daughter called his number and received a return call from him (not his office staff) within minutes; and, just this past week (15 months after surgery) I had a complication. I was in great discomfort for the first time since surgery. I emailed Dr. Simpson early Friday evening. He responded within an hour. He was out of town but flying back to Phoenix the next morning (Saturday). When his plane arrived, he called me on my cell phone to let me know he was heading to his office to meet me. THAT'S INCREDIBLE! He made some adjustments and now I feel great. rnrnHis pre-op and aftercare are excellent. The educational forums and support groups are informative -- and he attends 90% of them. rnrnI rate him a BIG 10 -- and I am very particular!
I've met with Dr. Simpson for my consultation. I really liked him! He was funny, charming, knowledgable and easy going. I trust him to do a great job. His staff is awsome and they have all been very helpful everytime I've called. His office took care of everything insurance wise. I didn't have to do anything to get the ball rolling. Thanks Dr. Simpson and staff for being so caring. rnrnUpdate: I was banded on 10/23/06 by Dr. Simpson. He was excellent. Although I didn't get to go home right away due to some complications, he was there everyday at the hospital to see me and called on the phone to speak to me and to the nurses taking care of me. I trust him fully and plan to follow the rules to a T.
My first impression of Dr Simpson was he is a very funny man. He has a wonderful sense of humor. He made me feel comfortable right away. His office staff is very informative and friendly. You can contact them at any time if you have a question, they are always willing to help. I would recommend Dr Simpson 100%. rnrn
Dr. Simpson is a very down to earth doc. He has a great staff and Diego the Pet Therapist is always there to greet you with a wag and a lick. I really like the after care that he provides. He has several support groups, nutrition classes, and has occasional dinners that he hosts/attends. He seems to really care for his patients and their success.
Dr. Simpson is awesome! He is very attentive and the aftercare is wonderful! The office staff is knowledgable and available all the time. Dr. Simpson answers his emails personally and very quickly. I am so glad I chose him as my surgeon and can't sing his praises enough!!!! I have yet to have any negative experiences with him. I hink he is just winderful!
I learned of Dr Simpson via OH. He is very personable and always available to his pts. His staff are great 3 of them are WLS pts and doing very well. All email to him goes to him via his Blackberry and he answers them quickly. He was honest in addressing risks vs. benefits and answered everyones questions at the initial seminar. Overall I would give him a 10/10 so far. He does only lap bands and I hopefully will have mine in less than a month. I'll let you know more then....
First Impression - was great - he really took the time one on one to explain the procedure. My impression has not changed - he is great.
His office staff is very helpful & friendly - always willing to try and meet my needs. His medical office is not fancy - but he has a nice fish tank. But - I was looking for the right person for the surgery - not a fancy office.
He is very big with support & aftercare - he firmly beleives that this is a key to weight loss. You must attend a variety of classes to be in his program.
But - one of my biggest reasons for choosing him - was his experience with this type of surgery & the number of lap band surgeries he has performed.
Yes - he explained all the risks.
Overall - I would rate him a 10 of 10 !!
Both his bedside manner & his surgical competence are excellent. He really wants you to be a success.
Very experienced in RNY, DS and AGB. Now restricts his bariatric practice to AGB. He has written books on Bariatric subjects with a definate sense of humor. He is very approachable and anwers your emails personnally! His aftercare program utilizes a nutritionist and monthly (repeated twice a month) meetings with guest speakers, etc.
He is clinically competent with a great bedside manner and as an RN, I'm picky!!
I really liked Dr. Simpson when I met him. He was streight to the point and let out no punches. His staff was very friendly and was willing to answer all my questions. I really did not find anything I did not like about Dr. Simpson. I like the fact that he answered all my questions and even met with my husband. He was willing to answer all his concerns as well. He has very good books to help you with your new changes. And was there to answer my emails right away. He did tell us of the risks that could happen with banding, but they were far less than those of RNY. I would recommend Dr. Simpson to anyone. I very happy with him and the results that I am starting to see. Thank you Dr. Simpson for your wonderful advice and caring for the health of your patience.
