I have some complaints. I sent all my information to Dr Bolars staff, Febuary 4th,2002, the same day I called to "try" and schedule the consult. I have heard nothing I leave messages three times a week with the receptionist, of which I have never had a single call back...Common Courtesy...ever heard of it, granted I have been very patient for me, I tend to be high strung sometimes. I am just bitter, I called two days aftr a friend and she has had the consult all the testing and has a date scheduled for May 2nd:( Gonna take a lot to get me back over the fence......... defense in full affect at this point. Not really an opionion I assume they are busy, but how mucg time does it take to make call, leave me a message for crying out loud(in fact I am almost at this point).
I woke at the hospital where Dr. Bolar does the surgeries. I had a heads up because I knew my surgeon befor hand. He is excelent and very profesional. I had to call him at home for a question about my surgery and he did not mind. He was very pleasant. His office staff is wonderful. His nurse Amy Day is very knowledegable. There is nothing that I can think of that I don,t like about him.DR.Bolar is very knowledgeable and caring. He treats every one equally. He has done over 2,000 og these surgeries and has not lost one person to the surgery its self. He frequently wants to monitor his patients.
He has his own hand book on what to expect and what will happen after the surgery. He explains all possible risks and outcomes of the surgery.I would rate him at the top of the list. I am one of the nurses who takes care of his patients at the hospital in Georgetown and would neve imagine myself going to another Dr.
I had a very good impression of Dr. Bolar. I know of 5 people who have surgery from him and all were very successful. He was very honest about good and bad results. He has preformed over 3000 surgeries and has had a good success rate. He will not operate if he thinks you are a risk. I respect that. His staff was very informative. The people I have talked to that had there surgeries performed from him, said that the hospital stay was pleasant too. That Georgetown Hopital in Kentucky was very patient friendly.
My first impression was good. I thought he was very professional, and knowledgable. He seemed to really care if I understood the procedure and the risks. The people in the staff were very kind. They made me feel comfortable to ask questions. They gave me the truth about a lot of this journey, and did not sugar coat anything. I left feeling I had made a good choice.
