Randall Bolar Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

I have only seen him once he stays pretty busy. but from what i have seen of him he tells you what is going to happen how its done and how long it takes. his staff was great i have dilt with them more then him they helped with anything i needed.i will be able to tell more once the surgery is done but from what i have seen and hurd from others he is one of the best.

MY PCP RECOMMENDED DR. RANDALL BOLAR OF GEORGETOWN, KENTUCKY. WHEN I WENT FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT HE WAS VERY NICE AND EXPLAINED THINGS VERY WELL. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND MADE SURE I UNDERSTOOD THE WHOLE CONCEPT OF THE SURGERY. HIS STAFF IS GREAT, THEY WORK SO HARD AT ALL THE PAPERWORK AND SUCH. I REALLY APPRECIATED THEIR EFFORTS AND UNDERSTANDING WHEN I FELT LIKE I WAS BOTHERING THEM WITH MY PHONE CALLS. DR. BOLAR AND HIS STAFF ARE HARD WORKING PROFESSIONALS AND I RESPECT AND APPRECIATE THEM VERY MUCH.

met DR.Bolar 9/5/02,he was wonderful.everything I had read about,
and heard was true.his staff is great,thanks guys!he was very
clear about everything,answered all my questions,and gave me a sense
of guiet.this is where i was to be.He out lined the risks and benefits,
his aftercare is just as structed .How would i rate him? can't,he's off the
charts!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing i would have to say is bad is the waiting,but compared
to others it only took a little over a month to get first appointment.
and thats great. I mean lets all.... be honest we want this done
yesterday!!!

I recently had the opportunity to meet with Dr.Bolar for my first consultation. I was immediately impressed with his professionalism. Dr. Bolar explained the procedure in detail and all the associated risk. He put great emphasize on what is to be expected post-op. I now look foward to a confirmation from my insurance company, since my mind is at ease about the surgeon.

My first impression of Dr. Bolar and his staff was great. He knows what he is doing and so does his staff. They answered all questions and made sure that I understood the answers to the questions. He has done over 2000 of these surgeries and he has great success with them.

Very friendly and made you feel at ease. I feel he knew what he was talking about and I felt safe with his decision of which surgery was best for me due to past medical surgery. His staff was very friendly and helpful. My insurance was already approved so they set my surgery date for Sept 30. There was nothing that I did not like about Dr. Bolar. I felt even better about him when he found out my sister was in the waiting room and he told me I could go get her so she could listen while he explained the surgery. It also made her feel better because before he talk to her she was against me having it open. He let you know that there was risks in the surgery. I would rate him a 10 at this time. I feel at a time like this you want surgical competence but good beside manner is great to.

8/7/2001 My new Surgeon is Dr.Randall J. Bolar. He is in Georgetown Ky. by Lexington.
My first visit is Aug. 16,2001 at 12:30. My first surgeon is very ill and can't do major surgeries for a least 2 months or longer. I wish Dr. Gaar the best and please pray for him a speedy recovery.

8/16/2001 I met Dr. Bolar today for the first time. He was very polite and through. His staff was very friendly also. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Bolar doing the surgery. I really appreciate the fact that he kinda of rushed my date because of my circumstances. (Read my profile) I have to have some more blood work because the hospital likes to have blood work within two weeks of surgery. I also have to have a psycological test(I guess thats what you call it)before my surgery. I didn't like the ideal of another Dr. and more test but I trust Dr. Bolar, he just wants to make sure everything is fine before the surgery. I would rate them a 10 their super. 8/31/2001 I had all my pre-testing done and everything seem to go well. I still think the Dr. and Staff are very good and seem to be very caring. I don't agree with them telling me yesterday I had to pay my 20% yesterday especially when my insurance was paying 80%. I did at first get very upset because I had no ideal I would have to pay it up front before my surgery ( My surgery is 5 days away). I was thankful I had my credit card with me to pay them.I still think he is a fine surgeon and thats more important than the money issue:-)He really does seem to care about you as person:-)AND CATHERINE IS GREAT And the NURSE AND AMY AND THE REST OF THE STAFF, THANK YOU!!!

WHAT CAN I SAY, DR BOLAR IS WONDERFUL, HE ACTED LIKE HE HAD ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD JUST FOR ME. HIS PAST RECORD SPEAKS FOR ITS SELF. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL ABOUT HIM. HIS STAFF IS AS KIND AS THEY COME. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM AT ALL.

Dr. Bolar is awesome!!!!! He was kind very understanding and explained things well was there for me 100% .I had surgery June 3 rd and my opion is still the same as he has been there thru any up' and downs.

His office staff is truly a wonderful group of people as they cared and was concerned as the same as Dr.Bolar. There was nothing to dis like about any one. That they will be there to help you from the first visit.
aftercare is stressed very much. All the surgery was explained on what could happen and any dangers. The rating was 100 %
Both was great and once again give 100%

My first impression of Dr. Bolar was that he was concerned that you understood and were comfortable with the procedures. I was really more impressed by him post-op. He has an excellent bedside manner. I honestly believe that he really cares about his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Bolar to anyone who is planning on having this surgery. I actually have referred several people to him. I know I have been in excellent hands.
