I would highly recommend DR Davidson. He has been very successful, with very few complications that I have ever heard of. He is very conservative, but I like that, better safe than sorry, esp with your health.rnHe is very straightforward, no nonsense!rnIf I have to have a hernia repair or gall bladder in the future, I would defiantly have him do it!
I first want to state that the following is only my impressions and experiences. I can not say what others may feel or what their opinions are, only mine.rnDr. Davidson seemed rather brusk and somewhat intimidating but friendly when I first met him.rnOver time my impression changed in that his bruskness was not intended to be personnal. He is rather intense and does not mean to be intimidating. It's just his personality. He will take the time to answer any and all questions you my have concerning surgery.rnDr. Davidson's office staff completely balances him. They are personable, caring and very friendly. They take the time to answer any and all questions no matter how silly.rnI liked the bruskness the least. But than, I'm rather a laid back person and find bruskness and intensity rather unsettling.rnFuture patients should be prepared for his pesonality. He is such an accomplished surgeon that, at times, he seems to be uncaring. This is not true. He is quite the opposite.rnAftercare is considered extremely important. It appears to be the backbone of his and his staff's philosophy for any kind of meaningful recovery.rnThe risks of surgery was address quite frankly and in an adult manner. I feel informed and am prepared for what will come in the OR.rnMy rating of Dr. Davidson and his staff is quite high. On a scale of 1 to 10 he and his staff is a solid 9.rnDr. Davidson's surgical competence is much better than his bedside manner. But I suspect he doesn't suffer fools very well but treats everyone with dignity. And that is all anyone can expect from a top-flight surgeon.

Dr. Davidson is in my opinion is a typical surgeon. No frills time is money. But he is very thourough. His office staff will contact you after surgery to keep up to date on you. They have a great aftercare program if youwish to take part in it. His staff is wonderful! They are very friendly and helpful. I have recommended him to all of my friends.
Dr. Davidson is cut and dry however he gives you ALL the information you need to have. His office staff is amazing. They remember you and are always willing to answer any questions you may have. I can't say I have any dislikes about Dr. Davidson or his staff at this point in time. Future patients should know that they are in good hands. The aftercare is always being emphasized as well as the possible complications that could be fatal. Overall Dr. Davidson and his staff are outstanding! To me surgical competence is more important than beside manner. In this case his nurse practioner Sandy and the staff more than makeup for Dr. Davidson's dry manner.
My first impression of Dr. Davidson was \"he is Col. Potter from MASH - all business\" After I met with him a few times, I would say I still think the most important thing to him concerning me was a successful surgery without complications, which I think is an excellent goal for my surgeon. I have discovered a slightly different side of him too though. If you would ask him to say a prayer with you before the surgery, he would. So there is more to Dr. Davidson than first appears to the eye. The office staff is exceptional. Each visit I have, I learn more to help myself be successful and healing, but I have to ask the questions - it is not just told to me. If you seek out Dr. Davidson, know that you have selected an excellent surgeon who knows his job well and will expect the most out of himself and you to make certain all goes well. The day after surgery, he went into each room and shooed us all out into the hall to walk. Sitting in your hospital bed is not an option for him. I was disappointed at my 1 week check up to have him tell me to stay on clear liquids for another week and understand that is pretty normal for him to do. I was looking forward to a little more than broth and protein drinks. So I would warn others that he is likely to have the week 1 diet be extended to 2 weeks. I definitely recommend him to anyone serious about the surgery and weight loss.
I really liked Dr. Davidson the minute I got to meet with him.. He is a no nonsense kind of guy and I find that useful and comforting. He was very supportive of getting me approved with my insurance and wrote a very good progress note of my visit which included all the problems I had because of excess weight. rnrnI really like the office staff. They have been very helpful and the Nova Body Solutions center have really worked my case well to get to approval.
I loved Dr. Davidsons office. His whole program is very informative and his staff is so friendly. Dr. Davidson was actually the 4th surgeon that I had gone to check out and knew I didnt have to look any further. They are truly a caring staff and are always there to help you what ever the time may be!! Kudos to Dr. Davidson and Staff. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!
Dr.Davidson is a great doctor. I had my surgery on January 14, 2008. It was a successful surgery. My impression of Dr. Davidson was a nice to the point doctor. The staff is very nice and knowes everything about weight loss and the best surgery you should have. What I liked least about Dr. Davidson he talks fast. You relly have to pay attention to him. He will repeat it but fast. He is very strick on you after the surgery he will come to your room and make sure you know what you are suppose to do. He give you a little quiz on what is important. He has a aftercare program. I rate him overall a wonder doctor.rnSurgical competence and bedside manners are both great.
My first impression of him was that he was very abrasive. I had met all of his other staff first. They were wonderful and very nice. I did do a lot of research on his background and success rates. I felt I had made a very good choice. His prices are what first interested me the most, but after meeting everyone and going through the seminars I was sure I had made the right choice. All of the risks were addressed several times. While his bedside manner may not be the greatest, his experience and staff make up for it! I have had a very positive experience with my entire procedure!!!!
