Edward Facundus (COE) Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

I met Dr. Facundus on February 13th. He's knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He has an excellent success rate and has performed over 1,000 of these surgeries. I didn't see him again until the day after surgery, but I did see his assistant, Dr. Foreman, on March 17th. He also is a knowledgeable and polite man (and will be going out on his own now). The day after my surgery Dr. Facundus came in and talked to me and checked me out. He's simply a wonderful surgeon. I'm glad that I chose him in the end, and I'd recommend him to anyone who is considering WLS. His office staff are nice and polite every time I've called, even though I've bugged the pants off of them. That goes a long way!

My first impression of Dr. Facundus was that he really cares for the patients that he sees. I believe this very talented young surgeon has chosen this field because of the profound difference it can make and is making in people's lives.

The office staff was superior as well. I came from overseas (7000+ miles) to see this surgeon because of the great things I had heard about him and his staff. They were willing to work with me in any way possible. Phenominal people!!!

I would rate this doctor and his staff over all as a 10. I have absolutely no complaints. Further, I believe that he is the best in his field.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR. FACUNDUS WAS THAT HE SEEMED TO BE VERY CONFIDENT IN WHAT HE DOES. HE WAS VERY NICE AND ANSWERED ALL OF THE QUESTIONS THAT I HAD. HIS OFFICE STAFF HAS BEEN REALLY HELPFUL AS WELL, ESPECIALLY MELINDA. SHE HAS WENT OUT OF HER TIME TO SEE IF THERE HAS BEEN ANY CANCELLATION DATES.(IM STILL WISHING!!!) I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO IS EVEN THINKING ABOUT THIS SURGERY TO GO AHEAD AND START THE PROCESS NOW, BECAUSE IT SURE IS A LONG ONE!

I believe Dr. Facundus is a very confident, competent, and professional surgeon. I researched very hard to find a surgeon with low complications. I feel as comfortable as I possibly can about having him perform this major surgery. He was informative and very knowlegable concerning WLS and he addressed every question my husband and I had. We both left feeling very confident in my decision in selecting him for my WLS

Today was my initial consult with Dr. Facundus and my first impression was this is a confident, intelligent surgeon who knows what he's doing. That is the kind of person you want poking around in your belly. He maintained great eye contact which always scores bonus points with me and he didn't seem as though he was in a hurry or rushed. I had several questionst o ask him and he patiently answered each one thoughtfully and thoroughly. His staff were all very friendly and gave me the impression that they will go the extra mile for their patients. That means alot. I know that I am in good hands, and feel that my research and prayer have paid off, I am with the BEST!

Dr Facundus is very professional, upfront and thorough. He seems to have a good bedside manner (after Sue Ann's surgery.)

I just wished he accepted my BCBS copays. Paying 100% upfront is steep. However, if my deductible is met, I'll receive it all back minus two copays.

My first visit with my surgeon was a VERY SHORT one. Like he was in a hurry and didn't have a lot of time.

The staff is friendly enough but could use more help or something! Very slow!

I had my pre-op meeting with Dr. Facundus on Friday March 12. I found him to be very nice and very knowlegable. His office staff was very helpful and will work with you any way that they can.

I met with my personal physician, Dr. David Huff, (Best in Huntsville). He gave me the work over and told me that if I were a car it would be time for a overhaul. We discussed my options and a referral was made to Dr. Facundas.

I met with the staff at the Bariatric Clinic, Kristi and Hunter were very informative and answered any questions that I had.

Met with Dr. Facundas and his nurse Malinda. They explained the surgery and the lifestyle changes that will need to be made after words. They took their time to make sure I understood the procedure.

Do not call his insurance staff, they are of no help! Malinda and the girls up front, however bend over backwards to assist you.

I was highly impressed with Dr. Facundus. My mom went with me when I met him and we both agreed he was a take charge kinda guy. Very honest.

I was highly impressed with his staff. They seemed very nice and told us that if I had any questions to call.

Dr. Facundus addressed all our questions especially the risks of surgery and what is expected of me after surgery. As my mom said afterwards he is very cute, has a great personality and he has a confidence that comes across as soon as steps in the room to meet you. He believes that he is going to help you.
