I fell in love with Dr. Rod first vistit. I would still recommend him to anyone. He also performed my mother's surgery in Dec. 2002. Karen ROCKS!!!!! Dr. Rod is straight forward and to the point but very knowledgable. He is very open about the risks of the surgery. I felt very prepared for my sugery. I would rate him as a 5 star doctor. Both his Surgical competence and bedside manner are great!!!!!
DR ROD WAS VERY NICE AND SEEMED TO BE VERY INTERESTED IN YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE SURGERY/ I HAVE READ ARTICLES AND FELT VERY COMFORTABELE WITH THE STAFF/ THEY ARE VERY NICE ESPECIALY JUDY AND YOLUNDA// THE WHOLE PROCESS OF TAKING THE CLASS REALLY IS GREAT IN COMPARISON TO OTHER DRS(OFFICE PROCEDURES)
THE PROGRAM IS SETUP GREAT ESPECIALY THE ABILITY TO USE THE PHARMACY IN HOSPITAL//
I am extremely impressed with Dr. Rodriguez!! He is very thorough with pre-op health clearance from cardiologists, etc.
My impression has not changed of him since I first met him. Dr. Rodriguez is very direct (I like that), but some people may not.
The office staff is most cordial and professional. Each patient receives an entire notebook that decsribes all stages of the procedure (pre-surgery, surgery, and post-op).
Exercise is emphasized after surgery to aid in weight loss and physical well-being.
The risks are discussed and emphasized in the seminar booklet.
I rate D. Rodrigues as outstanding!!
Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are great. I strongly recommend him for peopl in the Dallas area.
My first impression of Dr. Rodriguez was he was the silent straight forward drill sargeant type. But he is very nice. I enjoyed how he talked to me and asked me my history. He didn't try to judge or anything like most doctors do. His staff is very nice and very patient. Dr. Rodriguez and his staff focus on working out, eating healthy, and joining a support group to help on you on your journey. After 4-5 weeks, you have to go to a mandatory scheduled support group. I rate Dro Rodriguez very highly. I was trying to do this thru another doctor(I want mention any names) who would not even see me, he just wanted the insurance info to approve. So he never checked me or anything to see if I was elgible; therefore, the insurance denied the claims. The office never kept in contact with me-i was practically dropped. So this experience with Dr Rodgriguez and his staff was like WOW!! You can be seen, heard, and understood.
I found Dr. Rodriguez to be very caring and compasionate. He has a busy practice but seems to take as much time as needed with his patients to answer question or address any concerns his patients may have. Dr. Rodriguez has a wonderful office staff. Everyone I have dealt with there have been friendly and efficient. Dr. Rodrigues has a structured after care program and he expects you to follow it in order to be successful with your WLS.
I have had my consult with Dr Rodriguez and my first impression of him was very good. He is, from what i can tell, a very kind man. I also really liked Karen, his nurse and I absolutly LOVE Yolanda, one of the ladies in his office. I feel like he and all of his staff really care about making me healthier. They don't look at you like you are jsut some tub-o-lard, they look at you like "I can HELP her". I also know from my friend who had her surgery by Dr Rodriguez, that he held her hand before she went under as she was scared. That is so wonderful that he cares about his patients enought to make sure that they are at ease.
