Dirk I Rodriguez Bariatric Surgeon

Dr. Dirk Rodriguez is one of the greatest bariatric surgeons there is. He is very direct, straight to the point and no nonsense when it comes to your health. Yet, he is very compassionate. He performed my Gastric Sleeve in June of 2016. His office staff is superb, as well as his bed side and follow-up manners. He became my biggest cheerleader. Unfortunately, due to the excess weight on my body, I had a couple of complications, but Dr. Dirk was with me every step of the way and it has proven to have been a very successful surgery. I would not change anything. Hats off to Dr. Dirk, his staff, as well as the Evolve staff.

i would give 5 stars but his office staff sucks lol. however if you're looking for an excellent bariatric surgeon, Dr. Dirk is your man. Very straight forward and to the point. He did my VSG surgery in January and i have had zero complications. Since 1/22 i have lost 80 lb and still losing. The office staff is the worst, lol like no joke. They didnt even call me for a follow up appointment after my procedure. in fact i havent had one follow up appointment since surgery and its gonna be 6 months post op 7/22.. but back to the point. dr dirk is an awesome surgeon but fire your office manager.

Dr. Dirk is a fantastic surgeon and cheerleader. I was scheduled to have surgery with another surgeon, but became very concerned with the cookie cutter/assembly line approach the practice had. I went to Dr. Dirk and he sat down with me and was able to answer all my questions and concerns.

Post surgical follow up with him has been a pleasure. He is encouraging and informative about the path I am on.

I would recommend him to anyone who wants a great surgeon who genuinely cares about you.

Dr. Rodriguez performed a gastric bypass procedure on me in 2001 in Palestine, Texas. Upon meeting him, I liked him immediately. He was genuinely concerned about my health throughout the entire hospital stay and aftercare. He literally gave me back my life by making it possible for me to lose the weight that almost had me immobile. He is a wonderful man and a superb surgeon. I love him to pieces! He will always remain in my memory as my favorite surgeon (I've had 5 others, different reasons). Give him my very best. I am so happy to see what a success he has become! I knew he would outgrow Palestine, TX! Now, if only I could find a plastic surgeon who would remove this excess belly skin for free, all would be right with the world!

Dr. Dirk is as very straight forward surgeon. He perfomed my vsg on 01-20-13. His staff are very knowledgeable and did there best to suit my needs. I chose Dr. Dirk because he has also performed the vsg on a family friend and my sister. We have all had amazing results with very few complications. I would recommend Dr. Dirk to anyone wanting a no nonsense surgeon. I am not near his office so I have not returned for a follow up visit.

Dr. Dirk Rodriguez is a surgon that's a straight shooter and is former military. He's a great guy but pretty busy. His customer service attitude is pretty good as is his staff.
He's the most cost effective surgon I could find in Dallas. Turns out the service is top shelf also. I figure the procedure is pretty common now days so after 10 years of doing them I knew he'd do it right. So it was the price that motivated me. He also uses Forest Park Medical Center and that's a 5 star hospital. I had a BIG suite very nicely laid out. The staff was great. Dr. Rodriguez called me personally (his staff does also) and I have a private number to leave him a voice mail and he returned my call quickly. The service, price, follow up, and overall expeirience was 5 star!!

I had the sleeve on 03/23/12 using Dr Dirk Rodriguez Business excutive program
I had surgery on a Friday, discharged on Saturday and back home to TN on Saturday evening.
Dr Dirk and his staff have been very attentive to me during my aftercare; I am often in meetings during the day but recieve phone calls from Dr Dirk (himself) and emails from the office staff.
He is very caring yet honest and firm. I feel like I have been handled with velvet gloves. I would recommend Dr Dirk Rodriguez to anyone looking to have WLS.. whether the band, sleeve, RNY or DS.

I am very excited and determined! I met with my Surgeon on 06/08/2011. The worker's at the office were friendly and made me feel very comfortable; Especially, Mike. Next, I met with Dr. Dirk Rodriquez he introduced himself. He asked me, If I knew what type of surgery I was interested in. I then responded. He stated, that I made an excellent choice and he also, recommended the service for me. He was very direct, straight forward and opened for discussions. He thanked me for coming to his office, and that he would take good care of me. At his office, you didnt have to worry about needing any additional services. Mostly everything you needed was right there (at the office) to assist you with getting the support you need. I also, read that he was a former military surgeon and decorated flight officer in the United States Air Force he is a nationally recognized leader in surgery ( I guess with being in the Military you can't be a indirect person or with holding important information that's for sure). I also, learned during my consulation that my Insurance's Company doesn't require me to do too many additional requirements. I only had to do only a couple of things which I was very surprised. I was told I could be possibly looking to due surgery by next month, July, (Wow)! I was definetly IMPRESSED with my first visit. He is located in Dallas, Texas but peforms the surgery in Decatur, Texas. The only disappointing thing his office moved on 06/20/2011 from Las Colinas to Dallas, Texas.

No my impression didnot change of Dr. Rodriguez, Him and his office staff was great.
Dr. Rodriguez is very trust worthy and very knowledgeable, and very caring. And answers all questions. Tells you like it is.
He has a very structured after care program.
He addresses the risks of surgery with you.
I would rate him excellant!
Both surgical competence and bedside manner are great.
Texas should be Happy that Dr. Rodriguez has decided to come there to work. Cincinnati Ohio has lost a very great Doctor. And I am really sad that he is not here any longer.
