I found Dr. Rosati to be kind, gentle, and caring. He is brutally honest but it is refreshing. I have recommended him to many people interested in this surgery.

Well, everything I heard about Dr. Rosati was right...He definitely doesn't sugarcoat anything...He really shoots straight from the hip and tells you how it is...He basically tells you that you he's going go in, rearrange your insides and give you a tool to work with, but it's up to you to STILL to do all the work...You still have to eat right, follow the rules, and excersize...Once we got to my individual consultation, I found him to be a really nice guy...He does have good personality and didn't rush me through anything...He took his time and made sure he answered all my questions throughly...Dr. Rosati and my mom even had almost exact wedding bands which was weird/funny! He gave me alot of important imformation and at the end of our session he asked me if I still wanted to do it and I said yes and he said Alright, lets go look at the calender then! AWESOME! He seemed really excited to be doing the operation because he said that I was too young to be this heavy...Overall I'd give him a 9/10 because in the beginning he might come off as too harsh but I think he just wants to make sure you definitely know 110% what you're getting yourself into because it's really not brain surgery and it does require alot of hard work on your part and there are ALOT of scary risks involved! (I'll update again after my surgery)

I love Dr. Rosati! He is very straight foward and gives you all the facts from the beginning. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is really concerned about his patients while they are in the hospital. He makes sure you have everything you need and if you have any complaints he handles them. He is an amazing Dr. with a real personality and genuine compassion. You know from the first meeting with him that you will be okay and have made the best choice. A ++++

I met with Dr. Carl Rosati in June. I found him to be very blunt and direct. He did not paint a very pretty picture...none the less, I know I made the best choice possible for me.
His office staff is on top of everything...no need to worry about leaving anything to last minute...doesn't happen here...at least not on their end.
His attention on aftercare is equally stressed at his informative seminar. As he politely stated, he is only giving me a tool in which to work with. It is up to me to follow up with my nutrionist and the program when I leave the hospital.
He addressed the risks of this surgery in great detail. Nothing was left unsaid. He even gave statistics as to what can and has happened to others who have already had this surgery.
I would have to rate Dr. Rosati as a top notch surgeon who knows everything you are going to ask...100%!!! and then some.
I think surgical competence and bedside manner have to go hand in hand and I have it on good authority (my daughter is an RN who had worked in the PAC unit with him) that he is the surgeon that WILL come into post anestesia to check on you. Not all surgeons do this. This is very important to me.

My first impression of Dr. Rosati was he is mean, I felt like he didnt want me to have the surgery this was when we were in the group, but my feelings quickly changed when we went upstairs for a one on one he was wonderful. The office staff seemed snotty over the phone but in person they seemed quite friendly. I least liked that he tells you more about the bad then the good that comes with the surgery during our group meetings, but I assume its because, he has to stress the risks. I think that future patients should know that he is a great guy. He stresses that fact that aftercare is very important.

Although I haven't met Dr. Rosati yet I am encouraged that I have found a surgeon willing to work with me. I still don't have a guarentee that I am appropriate for surgery but I am stepping in the right direction.

He was a young looking gentleman. He looked stern until he opened his mouth and he spoke softly. He was very knowledgeable and to the point. He spoke all the facts and statistics for us. He wants to make sure you are really their for the correct reason. I would recomend him do others for sure. He stressed the after care and how the WLS is not the allmighty you have to do 80% of the work and the surgery does the other. You have to still eat right and exercise 30 min every day for the rest of your life.

I met with Dr. Rosati today in a group informational meeting. He gave a very detail description of the surgery. He also reviewed all the risks in detail. He was honest and direct in his message and all answers to everyones questions. I later had a physical with him were we reviewed my medical history. He is everything I was looking for in a surgeon, I feel very comfortable putting my life in his hands.

My first impression of Dr Rosati was that he was a man of great knowledge and concern that every person was well informed about this surgery. He did not seem rushed or hassled as I have found other physicians to be. He has a very gentle presence of calm assurance. During the time of surgery and while in the hospital, he came in everyday and checked in, giving you some last minute direction before discharge. I was at a group meeting a while ago and heard his answer why does he do this surgery and he was quite articulate about how much pleasure he gets from helping people like us become healthy and transform our lives; how much he loves working with by-pass patients because we are educated and it's a thrill to be working with such involved patients. At my last appointment (6 monthes post op appointment) he was very encouraging and supportive of my progress so far yet also makes it clear that the "tool" is just that and to continue the success one must follow a healthy food plan and exercise. Still forever the Doc! I am thrilled to have had this wonderful and skilled surgeon be part of my journey to a healthy and long life. I give him A pluses all around!
