Brian Boe Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

Dr. Boe was the kindest Dr. I have ever met. He really seemed to understand the struggles that I have had with my weight, where other doctors always seemed to judge. I would, and have recommended Dr. Boe to many people.I can't say that there was anything that I did dislike about him.He told me all the risks of the surgery and of course the benefits also. The Bariatric Treatment Centers have a very good program and they took excellent care of me in the hospital, and after. I believe that Dr. Boe's surgical competence and his bedside manner are both excellent. The only hard thing was getting through on the phone to schedule the surgery and my follow-up appointments.

When I first saw Dr Boe, I felt a calm come over me. When he came into the consultation room and introduced himself to me and my mother, I saw the prettiest eyes I could have ever seen. He doesn't seem to be one of those arrogant doctors at all. He explained to me everything I needed to know and more about what I was about to adventure. Very knowledgeable so far. The entire staff at Beriatric Treatment Centers made me feel so comfortable and those chairs, I sat in a chair that was too big for me, miss fluffy, now that was amazing.

So far I can't say enough about BTC and Dr. Boe. Dr. Boe was very patient, as I had a lot of questions. He took all the time necessary to make sure that I not only knew about, but understood every step of the procedure, from pre-op to post op , to follow up and excerise afterwards. He was also quite blunt in explaining the pain levels that are associated with this surgery. Don't get me wrong he is one of the best according to his records, but he dosen't talk through "rose colored glasses" he wants you to understand EVERYTHING. (while throwing in a few jokes here and there) In fact contrary to most surgeons, he has even taken the time for a second consultation for my wife to attend to gain additional knowledge.

Dr. Boe was GREAT! He is funny, personable, easy to talk to and did a great job on my surgery. The hospital in Belvidere was very clean. I felt very comfortable with the fact everyone was there for the same reason. Dr. Boe has been very good with me since my surgery. He answers every question and empathizes with you. Dr. Boe is a great Doctor, before surgery, in recovery, and post op. I highly recommend him.

I was just a little nervous while waiting to me Dr. Boe, but once I did - I was totally comfortable. I had done quite a bit of research myself prior to my consultation, but he didn't feel like I "stole his thunder" or anything. In fact, he was happy that I was so prepared and wished more patients were that prepared. He answered all my questions and we had a few good laughs. I feel very comfortable with him and it was really nice to be able to meet with the surgeon on the first day instead of just before you enter the OR.

He was fantastic!!! Very kind, gentle, and certainly knew what he was talking about. Many times, it seems surgeons display a bit of arrogance--he was quite the opposite. He seemed willing to speak with us for as long as we needed. BTC is great!

I found Dr Brian Boe to be a very compassionate and caring doctor. He answered all of my questions to where I understood him completely.

Dr. Boe seemed very professional about his profession and had compassion for his patients.He explaimed everything that would happen to me and also the side effects that it can cause. his staff in schaumberg were very exceptional and professional the secatary also had the surgery done and she explained to me what the side effects for the surgery is also. i'm excited about this staff i think they are great people and i can't wait to meet the rest

seemed competent, enthused, and
supportive. He emphasized that
the surgery is not a cure all and
sometimes it doesn't work. He explained
the risks and I would trust him as my
surgeon if I ever get approved.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Boe. When we first met he was very concerned that I get all of my questions answered and he really made me feel comfortable with my decision. During my surgery, Dr. Boe found a Malignant Carcinoid Tumor and was unable to perform the gastric bypass. I was in the hospital for 10 days and he came to see me every day. He also kept in contact with my oncologist and as soon as the oncologist gave the green light, I was scheduled for surgery again. Dr. Boe has the best sense of humor and I truly feel comfortable with him as my doctor. He has helped me so much and I would recommend him highly!!! He's the best!!! He called me twice after my surgery to make sure everything was going well at home. Dr. Boe really cares about his patients. Dr. Boe is a great surgeon -- not only did he masterfully cure my cancer but he also (later) has helped me back on track with my weight. Call him -- he can help you too!!!
