I was delayed in getting into surgery. Dr. Trivedi was "helping" other Drs and my 9:45 am start time turned into 2:30 pm surgery. My family members and I were annoyed with that. Then, there were NO rooms so I was stuck in recovery for over a day. I did not get the comforts of the bariatric floor after surgery, which was explained in all the seminars with Dr. Trivedi’s practice. My family and I feel I was released too soon. I came out of surgery on Thursday 6:30 pm. Brought to the bariatric floor on Friday at 3:30 pm. I was released Saturday around lunchtime while still on morphine. I ended up back in the ER on Sunday for severe pain and chills. A week later, after SEVERAL complaints of pain it was discovered by Dr. Ewing that I had a wound infection. I WAS NOT put on antibiotics at the time. A week later, still complaining of pain, I was finally put on antibiotics. I am 3 weeks out and still take percucet daily. I do not have the feeling of others that Dr. Trivedi is friendly. My family and I find him to be short with his answers and the feeling that he does not want anything to do with me. In fact, for the follow up infection visit, he wanted the nurse to see me. I told the receptionist, I am here to see Dr. Trivedi. I can honestly say thank goodness I only need to do follow-ups once a year.

Dr. Trivedi is a very personable man, who makes you feel right at ease. He listened to and responded to all of my questions during our first appointment. He made me feel very comfortable about my decision.
Before the surgery, he stopped by to see me, however afterwards I was checked by his partner, Dr. Ewing.
The office staff has been very helpful to me. His coordinator Autumn is friendly and efficient and always returned my calls. Alicia was also great.
I'm going for my first follow-up visit tomorrow and will update this down the road regarding how it goes with my check-ups/fills.

Dr. Trivedi is a talented and skilled surgeon who takes his job very seriously. He loves helping people become the healthier and happier people that they can be. He has helped me immensely!

Dr Trivedi was very accomodating however my youngest, thin beautiful sister accompanied me and he seemed more interested in her and her conversations than he did with me. Next time I'll go one on one with him and not get so frustated trying to speak with him. He mentioned I should have attemped this surgery quite a few years ago and it gave me the feeling he was unsure of how I would do due to age and other problems. I am still unsure of what will happen and am very depressed over this. I cannot compare him to another Dr since I he is the only person I have consulted with to date. Still unsure.

Dr. Trivedi is a very dedicated and highly skilled surgeon with a warm bedside manner. He takes time to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
All of the staff at Advanced Laproscopic Associates are pleasant and professional.
Aftercare is stressed as being imperative to the success of the surgery. They encourage their patients to join the Hackensack University Medical Center Bariatric Support Group Meetings; they have a dietitian/nutritionist available in the office to assist you.
This group of bariatric surgeons hold mandatory pre-op seminars (approximately once per month) during which both the gastric by-pass surgery and the Lap-banding are explained and the risks involved with each.
I would personally recommend Dr. Trivedi to anyone.
Surgical competence for me is not an option... it is of primary concern. But when you find a surgeon like Dr. Trivedi who is both highly competent and has a wonderful bedside manner, you can feel really comfortable.

Dr.Trivedi was very kind. I explained to him that I wanted the band and he told me I had to get the surg I was more comfortable with and what my primary doctor was comfortable with. The day I went for surg. I didn't want anyone to stay with me because I thought I might cry if my family was there. So I went up for surg by myself. When the doctor arrived he looked at me and said your going to be alright. He asked me for a number to call someone and he called as soon as I was out of surg.Autumn is good but the rest of them need work. I don't like the office staff. I feel he's a caring person. He talks with you about your eating, and how you feel. Yes he has a structured aftercare program. He told me the risk of both surg. I would rate him a 10+. His surgical and bedside mannner are great.

I was originally supposed to meet with Dr. Schmidt from the same practice but destiny put me into the hands of Dr. Trivedi. he is a soft spoken, gentle man. Perhaps almost a bit on the shy side. I can see that he is very intelligent and experienced. He told me of some potential pit falls with my personal surgery because of previous scarring that may be present. He is a laparoscopic specialist, but told me there is a possiblity that he will have to change to open surgery if the need calls for it. I trust his judgement.

I have a girlfriend who also had Dr. Trivedi as her surgeon. She has been so impressed with him throughout her process. She is one year post-op. I know he has a post-op support program and a nutritionist available to patients forever, free of charge. I am looking forward to getting to know him more.

The following is a statement of my personal opinion and experience. I am not making any statements about anyone else or anyone else's experience.

My first impression about Dr. Trivedi was that he was very professional, extremely knowledgable, honest, and very kind. Dr. Trivedi was very caring and informative when he dealt with me and my family the day of the surgery and throughout my stay in the hospital. Dr. Trivedi was very upfront about the risks of surgery. I personally rate Dr. Trivedi as "the BEST of the BEST"! I researched this surgery for the past 2 1/2 years and have been to another consultation 1 year ago. I feel that Dr. Trivedi's education and experience by far outweigh the other surgeons I researched. Dr. Trivedi has both an excellent surgical competence and bedside manner. To find both in a doctor is wonderful, but the surgical competence by far outweighs bedside manner.

Dr. Trivedi's office staff, his assistant Autumn, and especially his Nurse/Office Manager Kathleen Connor, RN are by far the BEST! This practice has the best support system! They have a very structured aftercare program and are always available for assistance. When you call they are extremely kind and patient. If you leave a message they call you back right away.

I feel very comfortable with Dr. Trivedi and his staff. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Trivedi to anyone from anywhere in the country for Bariartric Surgery.
