Dr Trivedi did my surgery 3/15/02 in Hollywood. My first impression of him was that he is brilliant and honest. I appreciated the fact that he was totally up-front about the fact that this is not a miracle cure and there are real risks. His informational meeting was about real facts, not a pep rally. He is now practicing in NJ, so I don't know anything about his current staff. He is extremely devoted to his patients and emphasizes aftercare a great deal. "2 scoops of protein powder, 2 Flintstones chewables, 2 chewable calcium everyday and B-12 injection every month!" He addresses the risks honestly so that you know what the possibilities are from the beginning. I am so happy to have had him as my surgeon, sad that he moved away soon after. His surgical skills are excellent. I worked for another doctor in the area and all the local physicians had great respect for his skills.

Dr. Trivedi and his office staff were very nice, helpful and informative. Dr. Trivedi took the time to make sure I understood what the surgery entailed. He answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. I will update more after my surgery as to the care I recieve in the hospital. I am sure from what I have already experienced that he will be great.

I was Impressed w/Dr Trevedi right from the start, and nothing has happened to change that. The surgery went without a hitch. I walked a lot in the hospital so was was able to go home a day early. since then I feel great. He was very detailed in what he was going to do, and what I needed to do to make this work. Besides the weight I also had early onset diabetes so I had some problems.
I've lost more than 65lbs in 3 months and 8" from my waist, and my sugar is back to normal!.I have an appointment with Dr Trevedi in 2 weeks, and our goal is for me to be down 75lbs by then.

My first impression was that he had a sense of humor which is a requirement with me. He was also self-assured when speaking about the pros and cons of the surgery.I felt even better after having my pre-op consultation with him.He really emphasizes the risks and benefits of the surgery and was especially concerned with the fact that I was 60 years of age.

His office staff varies. Some of them are extremely rude and have no people skills but his personal assistant, Autumn, is great to work with. She knows her job and can answer the questions posed.

He has a wonderful and concerned and caring bedside manner and saw me everyday during my hospital stay. He does have a structured aftercare program at specific intervals and the nutritionist is available on an as needed basis.

I would rate him OUTSTANDING. He is no longer in Florida. He works with Advanced Laparoscopic Associates in Hackensack, NJ and operates at Hackensack University Hospital.

Should I need any type of further Laparoscopic Surgery in the future I would call Dr. Trivedi first for all the above reasons.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR. TRIVEDI WAS HE WAS STRICT AND TO THE POINT.HE DIDN'T WASTE ANYTIME AND EXPLAINED RISKS OF THE SURGERY TO ME IN DETAIL WHICH I APPRECIATED.MY IMPRESSION OF DR. TRIVEDI DIDN'T CHANGE AT ALL.I NOTICED THAT WHEN I WENT BACK TO SEE HIM AT ALMOST 2 WEEKS POST OP HE WAS MORE RELAXED AND FRIENDLY THAN PROFESSIONAL.DR TRIVEDI'S OFFICE STAFF WAS COURTEOUS MOST OF THE TIME.I DEALT WITH 1 YOUNG LADY IN PARTICULAR WHO ALWAYS TOOK CARE OF ME IMMEDIATELY.THE ONE THING I LIKED LEAST ABOUT DR.TRIVEDI WAS HE DIDN'T MAKE MUCH OF AN APPEARANCE AFTER MY SURGERY.I SAW HIM ONCE IN THE HOSPITAL AFTER SURGERY.MY SURGEON EMPHASIZED AFTERCARE AS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECTS OF THE SURGERY ALL TOGETHER.IT WAS EXPLAINED THAT A LIFE CHANGING PROCESS IS NECCESSARY YOU MUST TAKE VITAMINS EVERYDAY,IMPLEMENT EXERCISE AT LEAST 3-4 DAYS OUT OF THE WEEK AND EAT RIGHT GET YOUR PROTEIN IN DAILY.

Dr. Trivedi no longer works out of Hollywood, FL. He is now a member of Dr. Hans Schmidt's group, Advanced Laparoscopic Associates in Hackensack, NJ.

I first "met" Dr. Trivedi at a new patient presentation given by Dr. Schmidt. My wife had settled on Dr. Schmidt as the surgeon she wanted to use and, at this initial presentation, he introduced Dr. Trivedi as a relatively new member of his group. Dr. Trivedi has been working in Florida.

At that time I perceived Dr. Trivedi to be serious, thoughtful, intelligent and detail oriented. In fact, there was one question asked at that meeting which Dr. Schmidt answered humerously, but then Dr. Trivedi provided a more serious and useful answer.

When the time came to choose which surgeon we wanted to set up an appointment with, my wife chose Dr. Schmidt due to his greater experience (600 procedures vs. 300 for Trivedi) and his reputation (my wife knew personally a few satisfied customers). I, on the other had, was swayed by the fact that Dr. Trivedi has a much smaller waiting list, which meant I could have my surgery scheduled months sooner. This, combined with my favorable initial impression led me to choose the newer associate, and so far I am very pleased with my choice.

At my first one-on-one appointment with Trivedi, he continued to impress me as a surgeon I could trust. He explanations and answers to my questions were lucid and thorough. My wife sat in on the discussion, and he answered every question she and I had for him without seeming impatient or rushed in any way. I have read in other comments made on this website that he was unnecessarily blunt or harsh in regard to the risks involved in the procedure, but I did not find that to be the case. I found his disclosure of the risks to be frank and thorough without being unduly alarming. I left that meeting feeling calm and confident about the procedure.

After that initial consultation, I was hoping to immediately receive a surgery date . I was impatient as I checked in each day for about a week and the doctor had not yet scheduled me or dictated the letter to the insurance company. However, the doctor's coordinator, who's name is Autumn, was very patient with my frequent calls, and after about a week, I had my date - only one month out! Since then everything has been moving very quickly, with Autumn taking care of all details quickly and efficiently.

As of June 14th 2002, My Dr. has stopped practicing with his Medical Group. He has moved back up NORTH, so NJ is very lucky. I miss him GREATLY.

His specialty is Laproscopic surgery. He does it ALL. That made me feel confidante in him cause I knew he wasn't a FACTORY for this surgery. He is very caring and tells you from the VERY begining what to expect of him and the surgery. He is a REAL Doctor. When you visit him it's not in and out. He sits with you til both of you are satisfied. It's like a 60 year old who really cares about his duties. Only he's YOUNG, SINGLE, and makes me wish I was single.......Am I happy with MY doctor, YES!
He is THE GREATEST...

Dr.Trivedi was very straight foward with me. He would not consider doing the surgery unless he spoke to my lung doctor to make sure that I would not have further complications. At first I was kind discouraged but once Janice called me and told me that she was submitting my paperwork to my insurance. my surgery was May 17 and my hospital stay was great. Dr Trivedi came to me every day and kept my husband informed through out my surgery. He works very closely with the staff of 5 south at Memorial Hospital pembroke. They know exactly what to do with his patients.

Just had my information session with Dr. Trivedi. My initial impression is he is very nice. He is also very straightforward and doesn't pull any punches. I like that about him. He pushes the aftercare big time. I think we will have a good relationship. I will update as things progress.

My husband and I met with Dr. Trivedi, he is very blunt and to the point, tells you the good and the bad about the surgery. He wants me to have further psychological visits tomake sure that I can handle the "after surgery" problems. At first I was upset, but now I understand, I really do like him, he pulls no punches and lets you know exactly how he feels about your particular case.

4/29/02 - Just got word that Dr. T won't be performing these surgeries after June 14th. Such a shame, he is such a wonderful and caring man! It's not his choice...but that's a long story. I am just so glad that I will be having my surgery! I hope he can refer me to a doctor for aftercare that is just as caring and dedicated as he is!

dr trivedi was informative about the surgery. He almost frightened me. He did a wonderful job in the hospital making sure to stay in touch 2-3 times a day.I am now 10days post-op and feeling great at my first appointment I was down 17 Lbs. and progressed to the full liquid diet. I am never hungry and have to remember to drink. I am drinking 2 protien shakes and 2 flinstone vitamins along with 2 caltrate twice a day. I will keep up on this website with my progress
