This surgeon was a very nice and knowlegdeable man with a caring and understanding deposition. I would recommend him to anyone. His staff was so helpfull. They answered all my questions and help with my insurance. There is nothing i like least about him. His office provides an extensive after care. there is a start out session that lasts one hour where you get education and your questions are answered. This is given 1 week post op. also they provide a nutionist free of charge at anytime before and after. He explained all my risks during and after my surgery due to my weight i was at a high risk. If i had to rate him on a scale of 1-10 then he would be a 20.
My first impression of Dr. Trivedi happened before I ever thought about having weight loss surgery. My cousin had gastric bypass and was having severe pain in her stomach and I called the office and Dr. Trivedi who is a partner to her doctor, called back and was so nice and calm and reassuring that I was instantly impressed. When I decided that I wanted to have the lap band done, I went right to him without question. The impression I originally had of him still holds true he is a very warm and compassionate doctor with a great bed side manner. The office staff before surgery was very nice and friendly and did everything they could to get me approved. Although I had to call the insurance company to find out the final approval while they waited for them to call the office. That was a little frustrating. The one thing I like least about Dr. Trivedi is that I have been to the office 3 times since surgery and I have not gotten to see him at all. He was there 2 out of 3 times but I saw a doctor who I think is in training and he has done my fills. I wish I had gotten to see him at least once since then.
I had a really nice first impression of Dr. Trivedi, he was always very professional, informed you of everything that was involved before, during, and after the procedure, and was always willing to go out of his way to answer any questions or concerns you were having whether you were in his office or from home. My initial impression of him only changed for the better when he first performed the Gastric Bypass Surgery on my husband who was well over 400 pounds before his surgery, a full-blown diabetic, and overall, a pretty sick man. rn I attended most of my husbands appointments along with him, where both of us learned a wealth of information. We attended a very informational seminar. My husband's surgery was more than a success, it greatly extended his life and quality of living. He lost a total of about 280 pounds in less than 2 years and no longer needs to be on insulin. He has energy and the ability now to go on walks and do many things he could not do for years and he feels so much better as well. rn I had been thinking about having the procedure done ever since he had his done, and I knew I would go to no one else but Dr. Trivedi. rn The office staff is always there to anwer any questions or concerns you may have and if there is ever anything they don't know an answer to, they go out of their way to find out for you. They are all very pleasant.rn Dr. Trivedi really stresses aftercare a lot, because after the procedure is over, you have a lot of responsibilties that only you can take over in living your everyday life and changig your lifestyle habits. Him and his staff are always there though to guide you in the right direction and offer you tips on the things you should or should not be doing at any given point, but it is up to you to follow through. I know I have had many questions about food and exercising that I called and talked to any member of the staff and they were more than happy to help me out. You also work with a nutritionist all along the way.rn The risks of surgery were discussed on many occasions, during the informal seminar and throughout office visits. Again, any questions or concerns you were having, you had an opportunity to have them answered at any time.rn I felt very confident in having Dr. Trivedi as my surgeon because he was always very professional, extremely well educated, and also has a good sense of humor.rn
I fell in love with Dr. Trivedi at the informational seminar. I loved his voice, soft and assuring, but also confident. When I went for my consult he held my hand when he saw me getting emotional about something. That spoke volumes to me. He insisted I ask him more questions when we met. I didn't have many questions because I had been going to support group meetings for a few months at that time, and they had answered most of my questions. He said to me, \"You have to ask me at least 2 questions-you drove all the way up here from Toms River!\". He took his time with me.rnrn**UPDATE** POST SURGERYrnrnOk, well I liked Dr. Trivedi before the surgery, now I am in LOVE with him! What a gentle man. He assured me every step of the way that I was going to be ok. He held my hand when I needed it and always told the truth, he tells it like it is, but that made me feel safe to be in his care. I just knew with him watching over me I was going to be ok in the end. He came in to see my before surgery and talked with me, I had been crying to my husband when he came in, Dr. Trivedi simply said \"you can't stay like you are\"....that summed it all up in a nutshell for me. That was the bottom line, short and sweet, I needed to get on with the surgery and start a new life. In the recovery room he came to me and told me it was a \"textbook\" surgery and all of my organs looked great, he also removed scar tissue from 2 cesareans, a bonus! After surgery I was worried because I was running a low grade fever. Dr. Trivedi came in with a 4 man \"army\" (I guess interns) and he had them examining me looking for reasons I was warm. I felt like I was on an episode of Grays Anatomy, too funny!rnrnI can not say enough good about this man. He is amazing, and if you are looking for a surgeon, put him on the top of your list. He is the BEST!!rnrn(PS-he is very easy on the eyes too :)
I had Lap-Band surgery and i thought Dr. Trivedi was a great doctor he was very attentive answering any question that i may have . The seminar was very good being a biology major i usually have a 1000 questions but i really found my self lacking any questions any thing i felt i needed answered was. Surgery it's self was quick i was out in 45 minutes the scars aren't that noticable. Im a few weeks out of surgery and the smaller insicions can barly been seen i couldn't ask for more in a surgeon he really was very helpful caring and informative. The staff at the office was excellant and took care of all of my needs i had my approval back (after all the paper work was in ) was within a month if that. But you have to make sure you are ontop of the paper work and appointments Dr. Trivedi was there before and after surgery for any question i may have had i was up and walking that day. The staff at hackensack was very good all the nurses were great i felt very comfortable on the bariatric floor one of the nurses had bariatric surgery and it made me feel so much more comfortable the staff the room the hospital was all good. I luckly ended up with a private room where my sister stayed the night with me. As far as healing the first few days i was sore but after i was great . i feel that the surgery and surgeon were by far the best choices i could have ever made for myself. I am very pleased
