Northside Hospital of Atlanta Bariatric Center
Dr. Williams was absolutely wonderful from start to finish and very professional at all times. My impression of Dr Williams has not changed he is still the wonderful person he was when I first met him. His office staff is very warm and friendly. Future patients should know that if they want the best then get the best and he is the best. He is very firm about aftercare and is very concerned about his patients and there health. Yes, he has a very structured aftercare program. Dr Williams was very clear and up front about the risk of the surgery. He even warned of possible death, but unlikely. On a scale of 1-10 and 10 being the best, I give him a 10. They are both great.
I had originally chosen Dr. C. Daniel Smith as my surgeon.
I have had to reluctantly fire Dr. C. Daniel Smith because of his staff's ineptness and incompentnce in my opinion. I should have listened to the other patients who said that Dr. Smith is great but his staff is horrendous. Yes, the are. I was denied and they were like oh, well. They would not help me with my appeal and told me either I could do it or my PCP could that they don't do appeals. This just tops off the whole process of being told different things by every member of his staff I spoke to...what an absolute nightmare.
I am now going with Dr. Christopher Hart out of the North Fulton Hospital location...he also practices in Suwanee.
I can already tell this is going to be an all-together better experience. The staff is not only polite but they know what they are doing and know what to do....what a nice refreshing change....they also will fight for my approval!
He comes across very intelligent and confident, which helps assure me of his surgical abilities. He has been highly recommended by many in the Atlanta area. I feel very comfortable with his training, recommendations, and first impression. Dr. Williams definitely comes across to his patients as having a 'no question is a dumb question' policy. If you want a skilled and knowledgeable surgeon, which you can trust to care about you as a person and not just a patient, Dr. Williams is the surgeon. His entire pre- and post-operative program is very thoroughly structured with a well equipped friendly staff. When I come to my final decision on which procedure I would like to undergo, Dr. Williams will definitely be the surgeon of my choice.
Dr. Hart is a great man and an even better sutgeon.
My first impression never changed. He was great.
They are great except one evil woman names tonya who answers the phones. Dont let her discourage you.
The only thing I didnt like was Tonya.
Just that he is great.
He makes sure you understand this is for life and you need to be seen regularly.
Yes, he has sppiontments he expects you to show up for.
Dr. hart is very honest about the risks but he thinks for the right person they worth the risk.
i would give him a 10.
He had both surgical comptence and a great bedside manner.
I hated having my drain removed. he didnt warn me that it was going to feel like it did.
My first impression of Dr Richard was, he was a very kind man that totally understood my disease~Obesity.
Over the past year my impression has not changed. He has been there for me each time I have needed him. He recently done a Hernia repair on me as well (6-3-04).
The office staff are wonderful! Amy N. in insurance is a doll! And Tammy (his nurse is the sweetest!) As well as all the others I have met in the group. I dont think I have met one hateful person there, (even when I was so ugly as we tried to schedule the hernia repair with a tummy tuck using 2 different surgeons...Sorry guys!)
Cant think of anything i didnt like about Dr Richard. Hes a wonderful man.
I KNEW all the risks of this surgery before hand. He was very open and honest, also telling me what my choices were if I chose not to have the surgery.
I would rate him a 10+.
His surgical competence is outstanding!
I first met both Dr. Richard & Dr. Proctor, his partner, at an informational meeting. I remember thinking how "small" Dr. Richard was and how "large" we must all seem to him. Both doctors were extremely kind and I knew immediately that I would choose him to perform my surgery. They have a real love & understanding for people who need gastric bypass surgery. They open, honest and they are absolutely non-judgemental about the obese population. They had also performed surgery on people that I worked with and were the #1 choice of my healthcare provider. His office staff was very caring, but have had a hard time handling their ever-growing patient list. I would recommend them and do to everyone I know and meet. I know a lot of people who have used other surgeons in Georgia and their program for pre & post op were at best, 1/2 of what the patients of Dr. Richard & Dr. Proctor are given. They make sure that the aftercare is so ingrained in your brain that you can recite their manual backwards! I am a walking testimony to this practice, as I followed their manual to the letter and I lost 130lbs in less than 1 year and require no plastic surgery. They are a blessing, as is their program. I have been blessed by God for having them and for the wonderful outcome I have been given. The aftercare program is very structured, but easy to follow. They have a very good nutritional & psychological staff working with them that helps to make their plan so successful. I can not say enough about these surgeons & their surgical practice. They have extreme surgical competence, as I researched them completely, including their successful/death ratio. They have one of the lowest death ratio's in the southeast. I was visited by both surgeons while in the hospital and both have a wonderful disposition and bedside manner. The psychologist even accompanied on one visit.
I had a consultation with Dr. Micheal Williams on August 6, 2004. I really liked Dr. Williams when I met him. He seemed to really know what he does and like what he does. He answered all my questions and was not at all pushy or condescending. At one point in our conversation he refernced God and I really liked that! His office staff were very understanding and I was able to get an appointment right away. So far there's nothing about him or his office that I do not like.
My first impression of Dr. Richards was a good one. He is friendly and easy to get along with. My opinion hasn't changed about him at all.
The office staff is very friendly and helpful.
There is nothing I dislike at all.
Very professional but friendly and caring.
Aftercare is very important to him.
Yes
All the problems that could happen were discussed.
My rating of him is 95+
Both
When I first met him, there was something in his eyes that made me say this is who will be my surgeon. He answer all of my questions and was very nice to me. After my surgery, the Pre-op care was done very well, and I did not go home just any type of way, I had a little temp and a few small problems. Dr.Richard had it under comtrol and order all the test to make sure it was indeed a small thing. I was impressed.{7/13/4} My hospital stay was for 4 days. Every problem that has accured after surgery Dr, Richard's staff was able to help me. I have lost over 35 lbs {as of 8/23/04}and my scar is a nice and small, you can barely see
it. thankz thankz thankz!!!!!!
THANK YOU DR. RICHARD
Have not met him yet, will at pre op. I have two other fellow employees that have already had the operation through his office and have said nothing but good things about his staff and Dr William and Dr Champion.
Did finally meet Dr Williams, very nice person, I was very comfortable with him and his staff. He took his time with me and made me feel like I could ask as many questions that I wanted and I did have a few. He went over all types of surgeries and why we were doing Rx-y instead. Told me the risk up front and also told me how many surgeries he had performed with no problems to date. Overall rating excellent.
