I attended numerous seminars around the Cleveland area before going to the one at Summa Hospital in Akron, the professionalism but friendliness and caring I felt from everyone involved at Summa led me to Dr. Dan and the staff at the Bariactric Center. I had my surgery on Septmber 6, 2011 and I could not have chosen a better or more caring physician than Dr. Dan and his staff! He and his staff did everything possible to prepare me for the surgery and post-op, any questions or concerns were answered thoroughly and calls were returned to me within 15 minutes whether it was during or after hours. Dr. Dan and his team of professionals will be supporting and advising me throughout my weight loss and beyond, with regular check-ins and I feel I will be very successful with their help. Any one considering weight loss surgery should meet with Dr. Dan and his staff, I know they will be as impressed as I was.
Dr. Dan has been very considerate and helpful. He encouraged me when I would question my success. The Office staff is so kind and efficient. Never an unhappy visit, and always getting stuff right. I know they are in this for the long haul with me, and I am so glad I chose him to help me become healthy! The program isn't easy or quick, but it gives you every tool to be successful for life. And that is what it is all about...A New You!
Dr. Dan is an awesome surgeon. I am so glad that I chose Summa Akron City Hospital and Dr. Dan. He truly cares and he has saved my life.

I have lost 72lbs in a little over 3months. Dr. Dan is very personable and compassionate. My surgery went great. Have had no problems. Dr. Dan did a wonderful job.So glad I came to him. Thank you Dr. Dan in giving me my life back.

Dr. Zografakis has proven to be accessible, kind, considerate, patient, and incredibly skilled at his craft! I recommend the Summa bariatric center wholeheartedly!
Dr. Dan is a wonderful surgeon. He is the first humble surgeon I have ever met, (and I work with surgeons on a daily basis so that is saying something!) I would recommend him highly to anyone considering WLS.
Dr. Dan is the most nicest and caring doctor I have ever met in my life. He truly cares about all of his patients. I am so glad I chose to go to summa hospital for my surgery. Everyone is so caring and nonjudgmental . They all really care about you and your success in the program. They have a complete staff of experts that can help with whatever you need. They have an in-house dietitian , psychologist, supervised weight loss specialist, Very knowledgeable Rn’s, and all there receptionist are so helpful. There are not enough word to describe how happy I am with this program. After a while they are no longer medical people to me but they really feel like my new family who gives me lots of caring support.
Celebrating 4 years post op and so very happy with the results. A big THANK YOU to the best bariatric team ever. Thank you for your encouragement, help and guidance. This team is there for the patient. Excellent Support Group meeting! Thank you for my health. I wouldn't be where I am if not for you.
I attended the seminar with Dr Dan's associate Dr Zagrafikas and was very impressed. Very informative and fun. Both he and the staff stayed after for Q & A. Very up front.rnrn6-6-07 postop--What a team. I don't just have Dr. Dan but his whole staff. Dr. Dan is a listener, encourager, supportive, very knowledgable surgeon. I have absolutely no regrets with him or his office. Excellent post-care starting in the hospital with visits from Dr. Dan, his nurse and nutricianist. Thank you so much.
