Overall, the care I received at Scripps was excellent. They even provided a daily physical therapy session for any bariatric patient that wanted to attend. My room was kind of cramped and had no place to put flowers and my roomate talked all day with visitors. But that's not the hospital's fault. The care I received from the staff was really what mattered. My husband and daughter stayed at a hotel next to the hospital, so they didn't have to worry about parking; otherwise, you had to pay. The day we were able to eat something other than ice chips my roomate and I did have to ask for a popsicle and jello - we weren't offered it. I was happy to get out of the hospital, but I did receive good nursing care.
