Scripps Mercy Hospital (COE) Hospital
I had a private room and my special person, (my husband) could have stayed in my room. Not all rooms are private. I felt very safe and well cared for there. The staff is very courteous and caring. Sensitive to the needs of a post-op patient. I did not have to wait for pain medication as I was able to administer it my self via a machine. When I pressed a button a dose the pain medication would be adminnister. I was albe to push the button as often as I needed to. I would recommend this hospital highly for anyone considering Bariatric Surgery.
I was at the hospital from Friday through Monday and only had one nurse that I was not happy with. I felt this was a very good ratio compared to other hospital experiences. During the night, they came immediately, and I had to ring often for help using the bathroom. I was generally pleased with the hospital and its procedures.
The staff at Scripps Mercy was great. Besides my surgeon being awesome, the OR nurse was amazing and very comforting. The recovery room nurses were very caring and attentive. My main nurses were all very helpful and kind. Anytime I needed something, and buzzed them they were very quick to respond. I had a private room, with a nice view. My room was nice and quiet which was nice for when I wanted to sleep day or night. I had a corner room which was nice since I was away from the nurses station.
