The 7th floor is devoted to gastric bypass and orthopaedic patients, so the beds were equipped with devices to aid in movement.

The nurses and staff were top notch. If I needed anything, they were right there to help me and boy did I need lots of it.
My husband was driving back and forth taking summer classes at Morehead State University, driving back to Louisville to be with me. The hospital gave him a bed (looked even better than mine!)so that he can sleep nights and not have to drive home. He was able to come in relax on the bed and do his classwork and at the same time being with me when I needed him. My husband is one of a kind, and I love him for everything he is. I wouldn't change a thing.

The staff was wonderful. They had such a low Nurse-Patient ratio (1-2) I felt I had my own personal nurse.

The first night the staff found a recliner for my husband to sleep. I was in a private room and they were all for him being there. Sometime during the night, my husband decided it would be more comfortable to sleep on the floor because he sleeps on his side. The nurse came in a little later and fould him on the floor. She went and got him him a mattress. She kept apoligizing because they they didn't have a spare bed. My huband said it was ok because the mattress felt great

The food for gastric bypass patients should be outlawed. It was bland and almost always cold when it should have been warm/hot

this hospital is terrible understaffed. however everyone was very nice. you need family with you all the time for a good recovery.

I found this hospital to be incredibly helpful with my every need. I was lucky enough to get a huge private room as the hospital had just moved the maternity ward to a different floor, so I ended up in a room that was originally for labor and delivery. The nurses were all wonderful and very pleasant. I had nothing but a wonderful experience with the hospital and staff.
