Norton Suburban Hospital
I was alone there and the staff moved my call button out of reach twice (on purpose), informed me I needed to take care of myself because they weren't going to keep coming in there to help me. Most of the staff need to find employment in other fields then healthcare.
The nurses were very nice. The clerks at the nurses station were not very friendly. When I would call the nurses station for assistance it would take a while for them to answer and then the would not acknowledge that they had heard me. On several occasions the nurses would tell me that no one had told them I had called for my meds, etc. I am glad my husband stayed with me as they were so understaffed that I rarely saw a nurse and no one ever came to help me out of bed. My husband had to be the one to get me up walking around and making sure I used my spirometer. Also my IV machine did not work most of the time I was there. When I would call to tell them that it wasn't working and was beeping it would take hours for the nurse to come in because the clerk did not tell her I had called. my pain meds were usually 1-2 hours late.
