Very clean, well equipped, and took very good care of me. The only area that needs improvement is when I called for a nurse it was usually a minimum of 15 minutes before they arrived. I would sometimes have to call twice.

The hospital staff was wonderful and I heard from several staff members that they are particular on what surgeons they allow to perform WLS at this hospital.

The nurses were very slow to respond to a call for medications or needs, such as ice chips, or bathroom help right after surgery. The visitor policy was not properly enforced, so my roomate had 4+ visitors until 10:30 pm, while I was told that my 4 year old and 15 month old were not welcome, as they may disturb my roomate, even for a 5 minute visit. It could be cleaner, as well.

It was fine except the nurses seem to be short handed and one of them was very rude. Some were wonderful and I am grateful for them.

The nurses were very sweet! and caring
Its just the hospital needs to update the equipment and if they are going to do this kind of surgery here the need a wing or floor for bariatric patience.

I had one issue with my IV and one night nurse who would not listen to me. My veins are very hard to find and when my IV had to be re-inserted, I requested lidocaine. She didn't listen to me and proceeded to torture me and then went and grabbed another nurse to do the same. I finally snatched my arms back from them and insisted that they get a Dr's order to give the lidocaine. The anesthesiologist came and administered the lidocaine and got the IV started lickety split. If you have weak and faint veins, insist that they have an anesthesiologist run the IV.

Staff was friendly, but I wanted more of a sense of urgency on my needs. Semi Private room was VERY VERY cramped for space. I was just OK with the overall cleanliness - but I am very very very particular when it comes to cleaning. I would have liked to have seen better bathroom cleaning and shower cleaning.
