Alexian Brothers Medical Center (COE) Hospital

ABMC was a lot cleaner since the last time I was there and they're doing a lot of decorating. They are really concerned about the comfort of the patient. They do need to find a way to improve the broth for WLS patients. It was bad.

The worst part was spending 12 hours in recovery while they tried to get me a bed in intensive care, they gave up on that and just put me in a regular room so I couldn't have visitors for a long time.

Great staff, good care

We were treated with care, kindness, consideration and professionalism by all involved, from pre-op testing to discharge. I was the first male GBP patient at this hospital. (It's sister hospital in Elk Grove had been doing these procedures for many years. I presume they are using a second hospital for expansion of the program). The staff in ICU (1 day) and on 4 North (4 days) were wonderful.

This hospital is very dark, depressing, and cluttered. They are understaffed and do not give any kind of privacy.

The nursing staff is excellent. It's also good that the gastric bypass patients are grouped together.

The staff was very attentive and very compassionate.

I was not thrilled with the hospital at all. The nursing staff was wonderful (well most of them) In particular-Sue Evans, Teri, Amy and Erin and one exceptional PCT Robin! They were the best and I miss them!

I thought that they were great, the staff, the care, the accomodations. they were all very helpful.

For the most part, the nursing staff was great. The daytime and night nurses were compassionate and friendly; the overnight nurses seemed surly. The day and night nurses always seemed happy to help. I wouldn't choose this hospital again unless I had no other choice.
