Alexian Brothers Medical Center (COE) Hospital
I had a roomate who had 13 people in the room at one time-5 of them under the age of 7. Her grandson turned up the volume of her tv so high I couldn't hear mine. They eventually moved her , but the kids ran up and down the halls and once right into me-that felt real good 3 days after surgery. Response to my calls was very slow and the nurses were very cold except for one. When I asked why things were so chaotic I was told it was a holiday w-end. My surgery was May25th so I was there over Memprial /day w-end. I don't feel that was an adequate answer.
When I went to my room immediately after the recovery room there were visitors with my room mate, it was very hard to rest even though I was very tired. They appologized but privacy during the first few hours post op would have been nice. The valet parking was a wait but at least it was there. There was one woman in pretesting that I wish I had never gone into a field requiring human contact, she was impatient and made me feel like I was putting her out.
