She was very upfront and informative.
Explained the surgery and drew a diagram of what she will do.told what you need to expect and what was expected on your part to make this work for you. ASll the staff from the receptionist to the counselor were excellent aand friendly. She came in everyday to check on me and ask if i had any questions of complaints.

My first impression of Dr. Choban was that she was awesome....!!!! How easily she described the surgery....explained the risks and reality of weight loss....I did feel a little rushed through the consultation but was also overwhelmed with information.

Dr. Choban is a very good Dr. to say the least She is very down to earth and is like talking to your very good friend. My impression just got better. The staff is great. I would go back to her in a minute.The aftercare was great and from reading on this site I feel I got a lot more information than a lot of Drs. give I had to meet with the dietician every time I went. She tells you the exact truth.I would rate her on a scale of 1-10 a 10. Both competence and manner are great/

Dr. Choban was great! Very caring...her attitude, expertise and compassion helped me decide to have the surgery.

I have switched back to Dr. Choban. I had decided to go to Dr. Fallang but had a talk with the folks at BTC today. I am scheduled for Oct. 4th.

Dr. Choban was and continues to be a great physician. Unfortuantely I have moved too far away to see her any longer. As problems have occurrred, she has been more than willing to consult with the physicans who are now treating me.

she has always been compassionate, forthcoming and helpful. She is a highly competent doctor and I would recomment her to anyone.

She was a very kind women and made me feel like she could really feel for me and knew what I was going threw.My impression never did change she is such a great doctor. The staff at BTC is great they all care about you not one of them is a rude or unlikable person. There is nothing about her that I didn't like she has great bed side manners and she cares about her patients.The aftercare is great she wants you to keep your appotiments so she makes sure your doing good. Yes there is a structured aftercare. Very frank she didn't hide anything but was kind when telling us.Which is better, surgicl competence, bedside manner, or both I would have to say both she is a great doctor there is nothing I could say the would be negative about her or the staff I would do it again 100 times as long as I had her for a doctor. After surgery almost one year to be exact I had to have hernia surgery and the same doctor did the repair on me that did my wls she is great and after a year I still feel the same way about her and her staff.

My meeting with Dr Choban was great, my first impression of her was that she obviously knew what it is she was doing. Through out our conversation this intial impression was supported by her knowledge and demeanor. The office staff at BTC were really helpfull and very kind. She came across as genuinely enjoying the fact that her job helps give obese people thier lives back. SHe was very upfront and direct about the procedure, what was to be expected and possible risks associated with the surgery. She went through the entire procedure, drawing on a dry-erase board, and also spoke about the post op meds. The program at BTC places sufficeint emphasis on the aftercare program, and is set up with facilities and specific programs to assist post op patients begin the transition to their new lifestyle. I feel very confident that Dr. Choban will be the one performing the procedure and feel completely comfortable about the forthcoming surgery.

I think Dr. Choban is fantastic, she is very up front with her patients and lets them know exactly what to expect.

The staff at BTC Columbus, Ohio was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate any request.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like about Dr. Choban. She is a very popular surgeon so plan on having a waiting period, but nothing too extreme. The Bariatric Treatment Center has a great aftercare program, where if you are having problems or questions you are able to contact counselors to get answers right away. My counselors even gave me her home phone number, incase I needed it. Most,if not all of the counselors have had weightloss surgery and are able to give you first hand experience information.
Surgery risks were discussed at the first meeting with Dr. Choban, she wanted me to go into this with my eyes wide open. I felt very comfortable with my decision to go with Dr. Choban and BTC.

I had a good impression of her.. Good bedside manor.. informative, and told it like it was... I have only met w/ her for the consulation, and hope to meet w/ her soon for the surgery. The office staff was very friendly and helpful.. met a lot of nice people that day, with a lot of positive things to say.. I had nothing but a positive experience that day.. and Dr.Choban has come to me with high recomenndation.

My husband and I were extremely impressed with Dr. Choban. She is warm, personable and most eager to provide as much information about surgery as possible. The risks of surgery were clearly explained. She spent a whole hour with us and explained each aspect of surgery in detail in a manner that was very easy to understand. There was nothing that we disliked about Dr. Choban. Each member of the staff was warm, friendly, organized and made us feel at ease. Aftercare was explained by a counselor who was 4 years post-op. She, also, spent an hour with us. We had an enjoyable time with her, and walked away very comfortable with our decision and ability to follow through with a strong support system. Follow-up appointments and the support group meetings were discussed. A+.
