My experience with Dr. Choban was/is a very positive one. When I had my consultation with her I felt she was straight forward, knowledgable, confident, and compassionate. Now that I've had my surgery I can say that my "first impression" was accurate. She tells it like it is, she's skilled and confident in her abilities and she shows concern, interest, and even compassion with her patients. (I say patient(s) because I've since talked with many of her patients and we all have the same feeling about her. I've not met one who said anything negative about her.

Aftercare was just as good as Dr. Choban's hospital care. She answered my questions, took care of my concerns and made me feel I could call the office and see her anytime I needed to. It gave me a lot of "piece of mind" knowing I had access to her, should I "need" it!

NOW.... office staff is a whole other subject.... I really feel the Columbus BTC is growing too fast for them to "catch" up. My "gut instinct" tells me they don't want to loose any "customers" so they're booking beyond their ability to serve the numbers accordingly.

WHEN I MET MY SURGEON, PATRICIA CHOBAN I WAS IMPRESSED. SHE EXPLAINED THE PROCEDURE IN UNDERSTANDABLE LANGUAGE AND WAS VERY THOROUGH IN HER EXPLANATION. SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A NICE PERSON TO DEAL WITH. HER STAFF DOES A FINE JOB ALSO. SHE HAS DONE A FINE JOB AT EVERYTHING. I WAS ONLY A LITTLE UPSET BECAUSE SHE DIDNT LET ME KNOW EXACTLY HOW PAINFUL IT WOULD BE. OTHER THAN THAT SO FAR SHE HAS BEEN THOROUGH IN EVERY ASPECT. I WOULD RECOMMEND HER AND BARIATRIC TREATMENT CENTERS.

Excellent!! Only wish I was more coherent in the hospital when she visited. BTC also has a 2 week, 6 week and 6 month follow-up visits with the surgeon.

Only negative is actually about BTC-- sometimes you get the feeling you're just one in the crowd of people being shuffled through, but there are so many people that need this surgery and with all the media attention around it lately I know the facilities are swamped.

am very pleased so far. The staff was great.I have only been there once, so I will report later on my case as time goes on.

I had my initial consultation with Dr. Choban
on July 14th. She was very nice and easy to
talk to. She didn't minimize the risks or
glorify possible results but gave a very
balanced view of what I could most likely
expect as an outcome from surgery.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Choban. She has always treated me very well and has made me feel comfortable about the procedure. she has always been up front with me from the very beginning and still remains that way. She made me well aware of any risks prior to surgery, and she makes sure that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing after surgery as well. She makes you feel comfortable and well cared for. The only negative thing that I can say about Dr. Choban is that she has to take days off, I would have liked to see only her during my hospital stay.

I met with Dr. Choban on July 21,1999. I really liked her a lot. She is very nice and knows her stuff. She has no problem with doing my surgery. Just waiting for verification of insurance and will be able to set date, she is hoping for end of August or first week of September. Her office staff is great, they helped me with everything I needed. I am very excited and can't wait to have this surgery and become a new person.I would recommend her or BTC to anyone wanting this procedure.

I think she is the best. Very compassionalte to the needs of the obese. I like her very much and would recommend her to anyone.
