I had my proximal bypass at St. Francis Hosp. in Federal Way on 5-2-06. My first impression of Dr. Srikanth was that he REALLY cares about each patient and their success. I also felt he had immense knowledge and experience in the field of bypass surgery. I still see him regularly to monitor my success and labs, he treats me as wonderfully as he did the day I shook his hand the first time. His emphasis on aftercare and support groups is a big plus and helps the patients succeed in keeping their weight off. I felt I was well informed of all aspects of what this surgery could bring to my life, both positive and negative. He is an amazing person, surgeon and has a fantastic bedside manner. I recommend him to ALL who are thinking of sugery. Thank you, Jackie
Dr. Srikanth is a very happy, caring doctor. He honestly cares for his patients and makes sure that you have his undivided attention. The down side to that is horrendous WAIT TIMES!!!! I just plan to wait for at least an hour to get into the back and then I eliminate any irritation. It is worth it to me to have a doctor that cares so much about my care. rnrnThe staff is very helpful and friendly. Some of them are previous patients! Dr. Srikanth is very strict about pre/post op diet so be prepared... He is a very competant doctor so I don't mind. I just feel so great that he really knows what he is talking about.rnrn
Dr. Srikanth is one of the best surgeons, in my opinion. He is friendly, understanding, compassionate, but at the same time a 'no nonsense guy'. He is very serious about what he does, and expects the same from us. His office staff has turned over about 4 times in the last 6 months, which makes me think he is very difficult to work for. My husband, nor I, liked the hospital at all, or the staff. It was uncomfortable, and having to be there at 5:30 am was a complete waste of time and makes for a long day when your surgery does not take place until 4 pm. Bedside manners are wonderful, and I would highly recommend him to anyone I meet.
Great team. Everyone in the office is as invested in your health as the doctor and he's one funny guy. Dr. Srikanth's approach is confident and comforting. You can ask any question's and understand all the answers. When the time comes for surgery all you feel is excitement for the future all your questions have been answered and the expectations are achievable. Thanks to everyone on our team I am already enjoying my new life 7 weeks after surgery.
My first impression of Dr. Srikanth was that he was caring and was making a genuine efforts to understand my frustrations with my weight problem. He didn't make me feel like I had failed in losing weight but that I simply hadn't been given great tools to work with yet. He is very friendly and has a very hearty laugh that makes you feel right at home. His staff is easy to deal with. What I really liked most about him is that he never planned on just operating and then parting ways. He has a very structured aftercare program and treats me as if I'm the only patient he has when he is in the room. He does run behind quite a bit but there has never been a rushed feeling in his office and that more than compensates for tardy appointments. rnIn all, I couldn't be happier with my choice in surgeon and I feel very confident in his abilities as a doctor and as a surgeon.
My first impression was that he is very funny, very relaxed.rnI had one meeting with him and he is very nice, very open very knowledgeble.rnHis staff is nice and is very helpful and I haven't had any major issues with them.rnrnHe has a very structured before surgery program and after program as well.rnrnSurgery went really smooth and he is such a great surgeon. Not only in the OR, but the care he gives and the compassion he has before and after. I felt well taken care of.
I am a post-op surgical nurse and deal with surgeons all of the time. They tend to be snooty and think they are God's gift to medicine. Dr. Srikanth is nothing like that. Each and every time I go to his office, he smiles, laughs and makes me feel as though I am the only patient he has in his office. He is kind and is there 100% for his patients. Even after surgery if there is a problem, he is right back at the hospital to check it out.rnDr. Srikanths after care is amazing. He feels it's important to have life long check-ups, lab work etc. Because of this, his lap band rate is one of the highest that I have found (in the 70%'s) in regards to lost excess weight. Additionally, even though he has done over 800 lap band procedures, he still treats each one as an individual. It's not just another surgery, but it's MY surgery and MY body. He treats it as such! He wants me to be successful almost as much as I do!rnThe nurse in his office is also a WLS pt. She had GBP almost 2 years ago so she knows what this struggle is like and is a great motivator for what it can look like when it's done (she is absolutely beautiful!!).rnIf I have to come up with a negative, it is that his office wait is way too long. i have had to wait at least 35 mintues or longer (my first appt wait was an hour and 10 minutes) past my scheduled appt time to get taken back to be seen. It's hard for me to say this is totally a negative though because he does spend so much time with me when it is my turn. I'd rather wait than be brushed off because he has to keep to his schedule.rnOverall, I would without a doubt recomment Dr. S to anyone considering WLS!!
*I liked him immediately. He is a \"joyful\" man and definitely a people person.rn*No. He is who he is. Very predictable.rn*Very professional, hard-working and supportive.rn*Sometimes he's not very timely for office appointments. But he was right on time for my surgery!rn*I would recommend him to anyone. He's very detailed and meticulous with surgical and follow-up details. Also does a thorough preparation for surgery so \"there are no surprises\".rn*He has a lot of energy around after-care.rn*Outside of office visits, it's developing.rn*He was very forthright. Gave me specific details. rn*Overall, he's the best. He has both surgical competence and bedside manner. He's a wonderful doctor and I look forward to having him and his wonderful staff in my life to some extent from now on.
I am a researcher by nature and did a ton of research on both weight loss surgery and the surgeon I'd want to do the procedure. I made a terrific choice when I decided on Dr. Srikanth. My surgery was a breeze and as I've had concerns and questions with the post-surgery life I need to live, he's been willing to take the time and energy to make sure I understand everything and am comfortable. He's got an incredible staff as well. His nurse, Terri, is a post-op patient of his and she's available for anything at any time. As I've become involved in the weight loss surgery community via support group meetings etc., I've heard other patients complain about things that would never happen with Dr. Srikanth's office. I wholeheartedly recommend him for anyone considering surgery. My only caution is that he won't let you get away with breaking rules, so if you're wishy-washy, find another surgeon. Dr. Srikanth wants to make sure his patients succeed so he's very involved in your post-surgery life...
