Kristen Howard Bariatric Hospital Nurse ARNP, CRNFA, CBN

Kristen Howard, ARNP, is a credentialed surgical first assistant. She assists Dr. Srikanth in surgery and provides follow-up care for our patients. Kristen assists Dr. Srikanth in all weight loss and cosmetic surgeries, including laparoscopic and open sleeve gastrectomy, duodenal switch, gastric bypass (proximal and medial), adjustable gastric band, revision surgery, cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal), hernia repair, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), lower body lift and breast augmentation and reconstruction operations. In addition, Kristen has special training in facial rejuvenation using botulinum and dermal fillers.Kristen also hosts a monthly support group for our bariatric patients. Before joining the Center for Weight Loss Surgery Team in January 2012, Kristen worked with the Tacoma Emergency Care Physicians at Tacoma General Hospital and Allenmore Hospital of the MultiCare Health System. Working as an RN and Nurse Practitioner in the ER and family practices, Kristen saw patients lose limbs and eyesight because of diabetes. She is passionate about bariatric surgery because she loves helping people get their lives back.Kristen is an avid runner and participates in local 5k's and half marathons when she can. She also enjoys yoga, hiking and knitting.
