He is very straight forward, sometimes abrupt, but there is something about him. There was never a doubt in my mind that he was the surgeon for me. His bedside manner is great, but I knew that his abilities in the OR were so great, I honestly wouldn't have cared if I hadn't seen him afterwards. If I had to chose him again, I would in a heartbeat.

I love this man. I surgeon shopped, did 2 seminars and choose to go back to the first guy, dr s. He is so sweet and kind, he is so skilled, i just love him. His positive attitude just makes me feel like i can do anything! rnHis office staff have been wonderful, Marisa and Kay are the greatest! I did have to do some leg work with my insurance but only because i am inpatient as all get out.rnAmy, his new nurse is different but this last visit with her was good too!rnI couldnt have choosen a better doc, i will say he prescribes the most vitamins of ANY local surgeon!

My first impression of Dr. Srikanth was not a positive one. I felt rushed and expected to absorb all this information. It didn't help that I had driven over two hours to get there and then to suffer from food poisoning! However, on our second meeting my opinion changed for the better. I consider him to be very professional, caring, encouraging, and funny. I have the most respect for him and have all the confidence in the world that I chose the right surgeon. Most of my contact with the office staff has been with Kaye and Marissa. Both are a tremendous asset to his office. They have provided me with more information and help than I could ever ask for!

Dr. S is great, absolutely no complaints. His surgical team was very nice in the hospital as well. His 'rules' are very strict compared to other surgeons, but I think that this is a good thing. I would highly recommend him to others. He is not only a good and competent surgeon, but he's funny and friendly and good at putting his patients at ease. I have had zero complications, and no trouble with the aftercare.

I really liked him at the seminar. I also felt very comfortable with him at my first consult. However, I was really rushed through everything at that first consult with his staff.rnHis staff is friendly, but I was surprised that I never received follow-up calls from anyone in that office. I have never received information about classes or support groups either.rnFuture patients should be prepared for a rushed atmosphere by the staff and if you are self pay then you have to do all the work with scheduling everything including labs/tests and that you have to ask and call and call again to get information. They do not stay up with the patient in my experience.rnAfter care is emphasized a lot during all the pre-op meetings, but then once you are out of the hospital you are off their radar, at least in my experience. They have a structured after care program for the first 9 weeks, then you are on your own.rnThe risks of surgery were well explained. Except for the fact that I was told that I would feel great right afterwards, and that was very far from the truth. It took me a few days to feel okay.rnI think he is well qualified and I would recommend him. Both his surgical competence and his bedside manner are very good.

He is fast paced, something I appreciate. I think he is funny and he doesn't take any crap! Office staff are friendly and caring. I've only been there a few times, so I don't have any complaints. I hear he runs late often. He emphasizes aftercare as the most important part of having weight loss surgery. You will not succeed if you don't take your protein and vitamins. He reviewed all the risks with me at my final pre-op visit. He has done over 2000 weight loss surgeries so I would say he is competent. His bedside manner is great too!

I really liked MS from the begining (at the seminar) and decided to go with him right away. He has a great laugh and sense of humor that I knew would help me out!rnHis staff has been wonderful also.rnMS is VERY strict, but he gets great results - and isn't that what we all want?

Dr. Srikanth is knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate, and personable. He also has a great sense of humor and a booming laugh. I met him for the first time on 10/06/2008 at his free seminar (I had known of him and researched him specifically and WLS options for over a year prior to the seminar). The day after the seminar, I got a call from his office and was able to set-up my consultation on 10/18/2008. Because I am self pay, I took in a cashier's check for a deposit into his office this morning and was able to set my surgery for 11/19/2008. Dr. Srikanth and his staff are highly computer/internet savvy and everything flows smoothly as a result.rnrnPre-op, post-op - he has a structured program for everything. Dr. Srikanth is very thorough. I sent my mother, who has been in the medical field for her entire life, all of the information, including pre-op tests, etc. and she was quite impressed. Obviously at my current size, any surgery is a calculated risk. But I do my research and I think he's one of the most qualified bariatric surgeons anywhere. Just check out his Curriculum Vitae and you'll think he’s remarkable, too: http://stfrancisweightforlife.org/st-francis-hospital-weight-loss-DrSrikanth.htm .rnrnWhat makes Dr. Srikanth exceptional is that in bariatric surgery he's found a true passion. He is exceedingly surgically competent as well as having one of the best \"bedside manners\" I've ever witnessed (and I've seen a lot of doctors, especially recently). Both are equally important considering that the WLS journey is extremely long with many peaks and valleys, both physically and mentally. You want a surgeon who will be your partner in the process. rnrnI rate Dr. Srikanth A++ (and I don't grade on a curve).rnrnAmy 10/21/2008rnrn

First impression. Excellent. Washes hands before touching you. Reads your information, Office staff very friendly and knowledgeabe. Honest and thorough about risks of surgery. Overall rating : a 10/10. Both surgical competence (to establish a bond of trust) and bedside manner are equally importnat.rnrnEmphasis on aftercare is stessed greatly. There is a support group that meets regularly.rnrnSo far, I have nothing negative to say, except that I think that $125 for any lap-band fills over 3 is excessive. (I'm an internist and I don't get that for a full history and physical.)

Great surgeon! Good "bedside manner" people skills and excellent surgical competence. One of the few surgeons doing DS on the West Coast. Has arranged self-pay options with St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way.
