My name is Irene McCartney I work at Hampton Inn. I help with the breakfast bar and clean the lobby. I'm married to James McCartney who also is a patient of Dr. Schmitt's that's how i met him and wanted him to do my surgery. I was ready to lose weight and before surgery everytime i tried i would gain it back and plus some. I have lost 33lbs and feel great. I think Dr. Schmitt is wonderful. I was very comfortable with him. The staff is just wonderful. I really look foward to going to the office to get my fill. It's nice to see smiling faces everytime I go. Thank you all very much!

I have been overweight all my life and wanted a life change. So the adjustable gastric band is the direction God sent me. No regrets at all. Dr. Schmitt was and is so good-looking! The thing that impressed me most was that he spoke about god in his seminar. He is very friendly and very much informed.

I have been overweight all my life. I tried all kinds of diets but nothing ever worked. Since my surgery I have lost 120lbs in six months. Dr. Schmitt has been wonderful and is a very caring doctor. I could not have asked for more. He personally called and checked on me at home. He put together a great team for my well being.

I was miserable with my weight and could not even walk into Wal-Mart or anywhere without losing my breath, now I can walk and enjoy life. I am so happy to have had the Gastric Bypass. Dr. Schmitt and his staff has been so nice and I have done so well. Everyone has been supportive and Veronica Patterson the Bariatric Coordinator is very helpful. I can call and talk with her anytime.

Dr. Lee Schmitt did my surgery. He is wonderful and so thorough. I had no unanswered questions before my surgery. He really cares and is very passionate about what he does. I had no conserns about putting myself in his care. Dr. Schmitt, the team at St. Vincents East, and his staff were wonderful to me. I thank God for him in my prayers each night. Without his help I wouldn't be where I am today. Because of Dr. Schmitt I am getting my life back!!!

The Lap-Band has been a life saver for me. I had tried everything to lose weight and nothing worked. I have had great results with the Lap-Band. I would recommend it to everyone who has a weight problem. I really liked Dr. Schmitt. He talked to me and explained everything so i would understand everything I needed to know about the Lap-Band. He is very nice and helpful. I have recommended him to several of my friends.

My journey began in April 2007 and I had Lap-Band surgery in August 2007. I am now 6 months post op and have lost 40 lbs. Dr. Schmitt has been great. His office staff has been great also. He is always there to answer any questions. The Lap-Band support group meetings at St. Vincents are great also.

Dr. Schmitt was just the right person for me. I am a partial owner of a small to medium insurance firm and the first thing I looked for was professionalism, passion and the support offered by the surgeon's firm. I had done a great deal of research and I personally spoke to people who had the lapband procedure done. These people were from several different states and they were of both sexes and the one question I asked every time was, \"was it worth it.\" The overwhelming respone was every month if necessary as it has changed my life in a positive way. Doctor Schmitt's office offers the most complete service package I have ever incurred and each person has a passion to assist you in any way possible. If any of you have read the book Raving Fans, I am a raving fan of Dr. Schmitt as well as his support person at the hospital, Veronica Patterson, as she also checks on you. I am 62 years old and have not had the 1st complication.
