I had Gastric Bypass three years ago. I have lost and maintained 140lbs. Dr. Schmitt has been wonderful throughout this entire prsocess. I have recommended Dr. Schmitt to several friends who have also been pleased with their bypass surgeries.
I had Lap-Band surgery in May of 2007. I'm losing dress sizes and feel so much healthier. Dr. Schmitt is patient and encouraging. His head nurse is the best!

I am so proud of my new body after having the adjustable gastric band. I went from 2x shirts to medium and 2x pants to small pants!!! Dr. Schmitt is God sent! I couldn't lose weight before and after the surgery and his encouragement I can!
Prior to my surgery, I had huge problem walking any distance, I also suffered from fibromyalgia, shortness of breath, arthritis, and was taking five different medications. After surgery I lost 150 lbs and only take vitamins. I have a new life! I had to go through extensive prepartion for the surgery. I attended a nutrtion class, weight loss support group meetings, and a surgery seminar. I had to also undergo phychiatrical and medial screening before I was approved through insurance for surgery. I really appreciated the prepartion both mentally and physically. Dr. Schmitt is an excellant surgeon. I really had no major complications but GREAT results! If I have any questions he and his staff have been quick to respond.
Dr. Schmitt has been great to me. He answered all my questions and has been helpful with problems/questions when I asked. Dr. Schmitts office staff has been very helpful especially in the time prior to surgery. Veronica Patterson is great. She is an asset to the program. She was there very early to see me before surgery and was with me afterwards. She is very much appreciated. The whole experience related to this surgery has been positive and I am glad that I made the decision and had Lap-Band surgery.

I have been overweight all my life. I gained a significant amount of weight due to medications and pregnancy. I love the band! Dr. Schmitt, I love him! He takes time, is personal and kind. Everyone in his office is pleasant.
I am 34 aand have battled weight all my life. After having adjustable gastric banding I am steadily losing weight and feel great. Dr. Schmitt and his staff are wonderful. I have had no problems or complaints.
