Before surgery was a painful time, I was always tired and felt terrible about myself when clothes did not fit and I felt very unattractive. After surgery life is goof. I feel better than I have in years. I have more energy, a better self esteem and an over all feeling of gladness that I am healthier and happier. I am so glad that I had the surgery. I had gastric bypass in 2009. I only wish I had it done years ago. I have no regrets. Dr. Schmitt is great. As a man and a surgeon. I am proud I got to meet him and he is my doctor. Love him!!!

Before having children I fought my weight but wiht diet and exercise I fluctuated between a size 6 and a size 10. As I had my five children, I gained but didn't get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. About five years ago after having my last baby I found myself barely fitting into a size 18 and decided to do something. Having surgery was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I feel like doing things with my kids. Things I did not feel like before, like riding a bike and playing soccer. I wish I had done this years ago!! Thank you Dr. Schmitt, you are wonderful.

I came in for my first visit and I was at 280.0 and now I am down to 149.0 pounds and I am seven years out of gastric bypass. I got down toi 119 pounds in 2009 and I was veery sick. I am glad I put a little of the weight back on and now I feel great. I think Gastric Bypass opened the door to a better life for me and I would do it again. I love Dr. Schmitt. He is very kind and understanding. Thank you.

I have always strugggled with my weight as far back as I can remember. The back, leg pain was so bad I would cry myself to sleep. Then one day a co-worker told me about Dr. Schmitt and bariatric surgery.i know and feel and love my doctor. He is wonderful, caring and very experienced. He is also so knowledgeable about surgery. He is also very passionate about the work that he does.

Before the surgery I couldn't do anything. I had a list of health problems and taking about 10 different medications, on a C-PAP machine. Now after surgery I am off of my CPAP and 90% off my meds and able to do things I couldn't before. Dr. Schmitt and his nurses were great. The hospital staff was great as well. I strongly suggest that anyone that has a weight problem to look at this weight loss method and I would recommend Dr. Schmitt to many people.

At my highest weight I was close to 250 lbs and had been obese for over 20 years. Since surgery I am at my lowest weight since 1987. I am no longer a diabetic and feel great. Dr. Schmitt was great!! He is very friendly and very open regarding all of my options. He recommended the vertical sleeve and it is perfect for me and my lifestyle. The office staff is great!!! The return calls and make you feel like a person and not just a number.

This has been the best thing I have ever done for myself. I wish I would have done this years ago. I started this process in June 2009 and I have lost to date 70 pounds. It has changed my life completely in the way I feel about myself, my job and my outlook on life. Thank you Dr. Schmitt for changing my life!!! I recommend you go to the support groups. I do not get here in town ofter because I live 2 and a half hours away, but I am going to do better and start coming. !!!!!!!

Although I have been large my whole life, I was able to keep up with most other until a few years ago. This bothered me more than looks, etc. only 2nd to wanting to be alive and healthy for my three year old princess. I am about halfway there and
I can fit in places
I can bend over
My muscles are giving out before my breath
I had to get new shoes
I really need new pants
My blood sugare is normal and no meds since surgery
I am almost at my High School football weight
I can play tag and give more to a piggy back ride with out fearing a cardiac event
I think I am looking pretty good
Dr. Schmitt is very direct and helpful. I appreciate the experience and expertise of him. The support groups are the absolute best and easiet to info to digest. Thanks Everyone!!!!!!!!

Before I had the surgery my weight kept me from doing things a normal teenager does everyday. And after surgery I have been able to do so much I wished I could have done before. This surgery saved my life and made it possible to do things that I longed for. I am six months post op gastric sleeve and I have lost almost 100 pounds. Dr. Schmitt was very professional and explained every detail. He is the best!!!

I was heavy after I had my children. I lost weight several times. The gastric sleeve has helped me to lose weight without stressing over it. I feel better since I had the surgery. On my six month office visit, I have lost from 208 to 148.2. Life is much better now!! Dr. Schmitt has been very helpful. After the surgery he has always been available. Before the surgery, he explained all the pros and cons of the surgery. I have gone to only 1 support meeting. I am motivated enough so I have not gone back. My family and friends are all supportive.
