I am a 54 yr old male, I weighed 336 pounds and was on many medications. I had high blood sugar and sleep apnea. I needed help and to loose the weight. Since the surgery I feel better, have more energy, and have come off most of my meds. I beleive Dr. Schmitt to be a very good surgeon and he is very professional. I beleive the support group meetings are very helpful after surgery and very informing.

After trying various diets, non were a permanent way of losing weight. The lap band surgery was a tool to help me permanently keep the weight off. This was as a result a permanent lifestyle change. Dr. Schmitt answered all my questions. He put me a ease. The support meetings were very helpful especially helping me to make what i beleive was the right decision. to hear others challenges, motivation and strategies for success motivated me tremendesously.

i had the lap band surgery because i wanted to get off of my blood pressure medicine. I have a very good surgeon. Dr. Schmitt is very polite and very helpful.

I was overweight with loads of problems and on many meds. The surgery was easy and Dr. Schmitt was great. I havent had any side effects.

I'm 33yrs old and i started having alot of problems with gaining weight alot of weight last year in 2008. I already have back problems and rheumatoid arthritis, so this put alot of strain on my body. I was in alot of pain all the time from all the pressure from the weight on my body. I reached a high weight of 270 pounds and I am only 5'2. I made the decision to have gastric bypass surgery in Feb. 2009. After i finished turning everything in to get the approval for surgery. I was able to have surgery June 28, 2009. I am now at my first follow visit and i am already feeling better and my weight is 252lbs, August 4, 2009. I feel this was the best decision i could have made and i am looking forward to seeing the results. I will no longer be depressed or have low self-esteem. I am looking forward to the new me and better health. The diabetes will be gone, high cholesterol, the extreme pain in my back, knees and other joints, and sleep apnea. I think Dr. Schmitt is a blessing because he gives you a better chance of living longer. He is through and open for any questions. He is a very nice man with a pleasant bedside manner.

I'm very glad that I decided to have weight loss surgery. I was morbidly obese and my health was getting worse. Now i feel better about myself and just waiting to see what happens in the near future.I like Dr. Schmitt very much. He is a nice and very concerned doctor, that cares about his patients. I'm very glad that I chose him as my surgeon.

I have been overweight all my life, more now that i am over 50. I had high blood pressure and high cholesterol, bad knees, and lower back pain. Dr. Schmitt is great and he most likely saved my life. He is very caring and his office staff is friendly and helpful.

Dr. Schmitt was an awesome doctor and I would use him again in a second. He asnwered all of my questions and concerns completely to my satisfaction. Thank you Dr. Schmitt and your lovely staff for a job well done!!!

Dr. Schmitt is great. He has really taken good care of me. Answers all of my questions. The staff at Dr. Schmitt's office is wonderfull. They have become like family.

Seven years ago my colon was accidently nicked during a tubal ligation and i have not had normal bowel habits since all the adhesions and loops would cause obstructionsrnfor me and pain and hospital visits with the nasal gastric tube for days at a time. I am so happy to say Dr. Schmitt informed me he may not be able to undertake this surgery but...he was able to do a Gastric Bypass and remove adhesions and i am now regular!!! When i am happy, my family is happy. I am so happy because this has changed my life. Not to leave out any info, the weight is just falling off. Following the program will assure your roadto success, and I feel like I am already 1/4 of the way there and its only been a week. I am so thankful for the tools Dr. Schmitt has given me to obtain my health and have a normal life. It goes much further than the eyes see-- Its how you feel and i feel great, entergetic and ready to face each new day. Dr. Schmitt was wonderful, understanding, and very down to earth about my issues. He is a wonderful person has stradgetically put in this place to touch our lives. thank you Dr. Schmiit. The tools that he gives you, you will need to follow them to a Tee. The support group meetings are imperativeto your success in a healthy way.
