I was overweight for 35 years. Many diets....always gained back...frustrating. Now I am confident that i will loose and keep it off. Four months now and ive lost over 25 pounds and i have gotten off my insulin. Dr. Schmitt is well educated and informed about obesity and problems associated with weight. He does not pass the \"usual judgement\" about fat people. Support both before and after surgery is excellent. I feel more motivated to improve my health than ever.

I was overweight most of my life(childhood and adulthood). I tried 99% of all diets on the market and all of the diet pills. After all the toil and trouble, I chose weight loss surgery with Dr. Schmitt. I would do it again in a heartbeat. WOW!!! Dr. Schmitt is the BEST!! I trust him immensely. He performed 2 surgeries on me. He is very knowledgeable, smart, and caring. You must meet him, he is the greatest!!

I have yoyoed weight all my life. I finally got tired of losing and gaining so I quit trying to lose but i kept gaining. When I got so big my knees and hips hurt all the time, my personal hygeine was a problem and i knew i had to do something. I prayed for help and God answered my prayer. The first few days were bad but after that no problems. The surgery itself was easy, quick and no pain. The staff and Dr. Schmitt were WONDERFUL. I havent lost all my weight yet, it is coming off slow, but it is coming off!!! I know i will not gain it back this time. Lap-Band surgery was a answer to my prayer and i am so thankful. Dr. Schmitt and Lisa, his nurse practioner are wonderful. You will get all the support you need.

I was at 337 pounds and lost my job because i was so heavy. I had worked for a construction company for 39 years. I had Lap-Band surgery and lost 85 pounds the first year and made me fill good about myself again. I think Dr. Schmitt is a great docotr. He did a very good surgery on me as i had hardly any pain during the whole ordeal. He is also a very caring doctor. Support meetings really helps you get in mental shape for the surgery and after. You also meet people just like yourself and talk about your and their success.

I really liked Dr. Schmitt when I first met him.He answered all of my questions before sugery and made sure that i understood everything that was going to happen during and after the fact. His staff is very helpful and always very professional. The only thing that I have found that I dont not care for about Dr. Schmitt is that he in not very hands of after sugery. I have only seen him one time since my sugery in '06. Overall Dr Schmitt is a wonderful Dr. I just wish he could spend more time with his patients after they go though sugery.

I am a mother of three boys and i was overweight, so i couldnt do the things that my boys wanted to. Now it is all better and i can do things with them. Dr. Schmitt is a great docotr. The support meetings are great and very helpful.

At 6'3 I weighed 306 pounds. Diabetes, acid reflux and high blood pressure at a relatively high amount contributed to this weight. I was having trouble sleeping, with any activity and motivation. I was a real couch potato. I dont know where to start about Dr. Schmitt, he has been wonderful. He has always explained all procedure in a manner that i could understand. Also, he has taken as much time to answer all my questions to my satisfaction. The support groups are most helpful in all steps of the procedure. I recommend everyone to attend. Talking to others that have had the same procedure are and will be a great asset to you through the entire process before and after.

I am overweight and i dont feel good about myself. I want to lose weight to look and feel better and have a longer life. I think Dr. Schmitt is the nicest man and i enjoy coming to see him. I know he will help,e to reach my goal. He really cares. The support meetings are very encouraging to get started in the program and they are very nice to you and very helpful.

After having children I put on weight. No matter what kind of diets I tried the weight would never come off. I decidedto have gastric banding because I was tired of not having the energyto play with my kids or live life. Dr. Schmitt was very helpful and informative with helping me decide this surgery was right for me.

I have been overweight most of my life. I did not want to have a drastic surgery like gastric bypass. I saw a commercial on TV about lap band. I got on the web and found this office and it was close to me. The results with the lap band have been amazing. I am so pleased with how much weight I have lost and how I look. My husband, family, and friends are amazed about the new me. I have not had one problem with the band. This year will be my two year anniversary. I have been able to maintain my weight. I had tried several diets before where i would loose and then gain back what i lost and so much more. If I had to do this all over again, I would. I have recommended two indiviuals to your practice and they also have completed lap band surgery with your practice. It is my ultimategoal to come off all my medications. I am diabetic and have hypertension. Since the lap band, I no longer have to take insulin for diabetes. I take a pill for such, which is very low dosage and i hope to be able to come off it soon. I have been completely taken off my hypertension meds. I am so pleased with the results of the lap band. Dr. Schmitt has been a wonderful surgeon, He sat and listened to me and answered all of my questions. The support group meetings were wonderful. Veronica was also wonderful. I appreciate i received after the surgery.
