I waited nervously in the waiting room for my name to be called, i couldnt imagine what would be said or how it would go, many many thoughts ran through my mind as each minute passed, finially i heard my name and followed the nice person to the room where she took some questions and did my blood pressure and all that fun stuff, the months of waiting finially over i was now here for my initial consultation, finially the doro opened and Dr.H walked in, right away i was put at ease, He made me very comfortable in the first moment i set eyes on Him,He dropped his pen a few times and made a joke about it and surgery and i just had to laugh, he explained the procedure to me and what to expect, although i did feel a bit rushed and would have liked to spend more time with him i felt that i was ready and he was the right DR for me, well now its been about two months since i met Him and my surgery is coming up, i am very excited and cant wait for it to happen, I know i am in good hands........

Dr Hoddinott is a very friendly, approachable man, and for that reason, he's easy to talk with. I had spent months researching WLS prior to my consultation, and so had few questions, but his answers to them were immediate and earnest. A month later, I saw him again for the EGD. He greeted me warmly, but then focused on the procedure at hand. When it was over, we chatted a bit more before he headed back to his office. From what I've read about him and seen in person, I believe I'm in good hands.

I finally met the new doctor and "the one", Dr. Hoddinott. He is the doctor for me. I really liked him and felt at ease... it's hard to explain, but he seemed more "human" that most doctors and joked around a little bit too. I'm glad I was lead to him by chance. I was suprised at the stream of pre and post ops that went through the waiting room as I waited. He's really busy, but he took time to sit down and draw me a picture of the surgery and what he does. <p>

My first doctor was Dr. Koren but things haven't worked out. ABOUT DR. KOREN: Dr. Koren answered all my questions and I felt comfortable with him.

Dr. H was very laid back from the moment we met him. He was very thorough about explaining the surgery and what to expect. He also made my husband much more comfortable about the idea of this proceedure.

The office staff is great. They do all the insurance stuff and walk you through all the pre-op tests. Rhonda is an angel! She's there, patiently, to answer every question.

Aftercare has been good. I have had to deal with an incisional infection and they have kept a very close watch. Now I'm hoping to start a support group in my area since Dr. H. and the hospital and close to two hours drive for me.

My first impression was that he was hyperactive and needed to us the restroom. Ten minutes into my consul I realized that he was just very passionate about what he does. He told me the risk and was very straight forward with everything. He answered all my questions in a language that was even understandable for me.

He is GREAT! I was a little nervous at first but he put my mind at ease with his confidence. It was refreshing that a doctor who is as busy as he is takes the time to sit with you and explain all areas of the surgery to you without any rush. Rhonda the coordinator for Dr. H. is wonderful also. She knows her stuff and was always there to answer my questions.

Dr. Hoddinott is a man with a plan. He knows what he is talking about. Dr. Hoddinott is always busy so if you have questions write them down. If you don't you may forget to ask them. If he is your surgeon or you are looking for a surgeon "have no fear Dr. Hoddinott is hear". I can't forget his staff which is also very helpful. If you have any questions Rhonda is able to answer them or will be able to find the answer for you.

Have had no bad experiences with him, his office staff or St. Luke's hospital. Have referred several friends to the practice.

I really liked this doctor!! He was very easy to understand, he answered my questions and was just plain nice! His staff, is unbelievable!! I was with the scheduler for almost an hour, talking about everything and anything! She was so nice-it was like I knew her for years and years. I had another consultation last year with another surgeon. He was very nice too, but compared to this surgeon.............WOW! There really is no comparison!! I hope I feel the same way after all is said and done. But, right now he's my Doctor/Surgeon to a better and healthier person!!
