Dr. Francis has a wonderful, caring heart and a great bedside manner.

It has not changed at all, she is wonderful!

Her office staff are excellent!

Nothing, Dr. Francis is awesome!

They should know that she is an excellent, highly skilled physician in bariatric surgery.

She emphasized very much how important aftercare is.

In a one on one she went over every detail and risk, which really put me at ease and made me more comfortable about it.

Both surgical competence and bedside manner are great!!

I am very glad to update my information on Dr. Kelly Francis. I am so glad that she was my surgeon. She is thorough, skilled, and does not rush anything. She is cautious and honest. I have great trustin her and feel that she did an excellent job with my surgery. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

My initial impression was good and my final impression of her is fantastic.

When I read about all the complications that people have, I am so grateful that she was my surgeon. No quick fixes or popular promises, she delivers what she promises and keeps you on track.

My overall impression of her was fantastic. My overall impression of the hospital was average to OK.

We saw Dr Fransis at a wls semminar. My husband and I were very impresed at how honest she was. She was not trying to sell us on the surgery. She told us the facts and let us make up our minds. She is very supportive and funny. I dont see her that offten she is very busy. I choose to see her PA's they are very good. The program has a good after care. Sometimes the front staff can be a little short but I can over look that. They have been great!

I only met with her on the day of surgery and during the hospital stay. She seemed very professional.
The office staff I would rate as poor to average because there were times before my surgery that they did not get back to me (3 times) when I called. And there were miss comunications. But everything went fine at the end.

Dr Kelly Francis is a very caring doctor. My first impression of her was that she is professional and understands what each person is going through. She never rushed me and always answered any questions & concerns I may have. My impression changed the day after the surgery when she showed up at the hospital at 0700 and told me that if I felt the need to talk to her that I should page her and she would call me right back. Her office staff always treated me with respect and went out of their way for me. Dr. Francis is the best. She explains things so I could understand what I was about to go through. All risks were explained to me. It is a true privledge & honor to know her and to have her not only as a Dr. but she has become a friend.I have never felt so cared for by a Dr. before.

I met Dr Francis at the end of Jan 2004. I was at my face to face visit, and had chosen her out of the other 3 physicians in her office. My first impression of her was this delightful young woman with dancing eyes, and a genuine smile, but it was her looking at me as a person, and not an overweight person. I felt right at home the minute she walked into the room, and when I left her office, I was so positive I had chosen very wisely. That feeling has not changed. I didnt see Doctor Francis again until i was in Pre-op on March 24, 2004. She is with Smart Dimensions- the organization my PacifiCare insurance contracted with for gastric bypass surgery, and their protocol for persons 50 yrs and over etc, is a cardiac consult. I made sure I saw everyone I needed to, and everything was signed of as OK for surgery. I had the pre-op tests, UGI, GB US, CXR, bloods, blood gasses, etc. When Dr Francis came into my little room Pre Op, she explained she would be taking out my gallbladder since it was loaded with stones, which startled me, but was pleased we were doing it at the same time. I already had an umbilical hernia she was going to repair. She looked me in the eye and told me, she might come up against a lot of scar tissue from my complete hysterectomy I had back in 1982, and if that were the case, it would slow things down, and she said, this is one of the way patients were lost. Did I want to continue with the surgery. She was real and up front with me, and I trusted her to do her very best. I went ahead with the surgery. Now, you have to understand, my father had just died in December 2003, and my mom, although behind me 100%, was frightened when she heard what Dr Francis had said, but knew I had to have the surgery completed. I wanted total honesty from my doctor and I got it, with a wonderful smile, and just knowing she might be worried, calmed me down.

I remember being wheeled into the or, the music playing, and thats it. I dont remember being in recovery, i just remember waking up and seeing Dr Francis at the side of my bed, explaining to me what had taken place. It took several days to sink in. I do remember her Beaming, her eyes sparkling and I had never seen anything so wonderful. I had NO scar tissue, she repaired the Hernia, and she removed the Gallbladder, said i had one rather large stone blocking the duct, that she was in and out in 1 1/2 hrs, and that I was doing great, and she was just so pleased.

Dr Francis to me is a great physician. She tells you like it is, she doesnt talk around issues, she lets you ask questions and answers them truthfully. She has a warm "chair" side manner, a warm " bedside" manner, and believe in both herself and her abilities and her patients. I wanted a doctor who was competent in surgery, and one who took care of me at the bedside too.

I can't tell you she is the BEST surgeon ever, but she is darned near the top in how she handles herslef and performs her skilled services on her patients. I am forever grateful to her for her candid answers, and my mom, well MOM thinks Dr Francis Hung the moon. Said she watched her get off the elevator to come and tell her how surgery went, and to quote mom " she fairly floated over to me, all smiles, and when she got to me, she giggled, and then told me what she did, how long it took, and how well I was doing". That alone endears this lady to me.

She is very professional. Met with me to make sure I knew all of the risks of surgery. Unfortunately, because her office is so busy with so many patients, I have only seen her once since the surgery. A medical assistant (very nice) has seen me on all of my check-ups.

Dr. Francis is rarely available but when around is very professional and obviously very skilled. The office overall is extremelly busy leaving most of the work to the PA's. Overall, I at times was frustrated with the lack of attention and detail but the surgery in itself has been successfull with almost no side effects. I am very satisfied now with my decision (in the beginning not so much).

Thanks Doc

I initially saw Dr. Frances on the web site as the only female m.d. and a surgeon to boot. Women tend to have rougher times in med school, so I figured if she survived that, she was a pretty tough cookie. I prefer women to men working on me anyway. Besides, she went to a reputable med school.
I met Dr. Frances face to face at the Dr. Talk, a group talk to patients who are planning to have WLS. She was approachable, had a sense of humor, and was able to describe the surgery in understandable terms. I met her for individual consultation last week, and she was not hurried and took all the time I needed to ask questions. The staff at the office are nothing but supportive of the patients, and quite helpful. The pre op is comprehensive. I have no complaints about her at this time.
