My surgeon is going to be Kelly Francis, M.D., but I won't be meeting with her until two days prior to surgery because I am out of area. Wish me luck!
My first impression of Dr. Francis is Wow is she old enough to be a surgeon!
My impression after speaking with her is that she is very professional. she made me feel really comfortable. She gave me ample time and encouraged me to ask questions.
office staff seemed very busy but not to busy to answer some of my questions.
I had no dislikes about her.
She made sure I had done my homework and knew what my aftercare would entail.
She explained the risks to me and wanted to be sure that I was fully aware of possible complications.
I would give her a 9 out of 10 she needs to relax a little and have a laugh once in a while.
I think surgical competence is best but both would be great!
Dr. Francis so far as proven to be the best I have ever dealt with in surgerys. She is kind and she listens to you and doesnt seem bothered by stupid questions LOL. I give her an A+++ so far. The staff at Lite Dimensions is the best as well. Angela, Tania, DeDe just to name a few you girls rock. You have done so well getting me where I need to be.
I have not been back to see Dr. Francis nor any of the other doctors at that office in a very long time. I can say, Thank you for saving my life. I have reached my goal and beyond and have kept the weight off. I have been able to go off of the cpap, and even though I still have problems with acid reflux it is nice to be able to live again. Thank you for helping me through a very hard time in my life.
My own personal experience with Dr. Francis has been fine. I wouldnt give her a 10 but she rates up there. At first I thought she was the greatest. Then over time, I felt like I've come to rely on my own doctor and her physicians assistants more than she herself. The office staff are fine. I feel that some of them can appear to be rude even when they dont mean to be. But over all they are easy to get along with. I would recommend them to people if I thought it would benefit the person. But if it was just brought up in a conversation, then I would have to just ignore the subject.
She was very nice before surgery and was wonderful during and after surgery. The whole team was great.. They made it a lot easier then it could have been.
I also love the fact that even tho I am over 600 miles away from them that they are always
willing to be there and answer questions for me over the phone.
I've only had the initial consult, but she seemed very caring. Gave me lots of information. Didn't try to hurry me at all. The PA who interviewed me before her was in a hurry and wasn't listening to me, obviously just doing her job. I was starting to panic. Therefore, Dr. Francis' attitude was twice as welcome. (She did call me "sweetie". Some people might hate that, but I loved it. Coupled with her warm manner, I felt like she had just adopted me, even though she's obviously much younger than I am. I didn't see it as patronizing, but caring.) Since I had a gastric bypass in 1984, I was very happy that she took the time to discuss what probably happened with the other surgery and the complications that arise because of my previous surgery. The risks were fully covered. I was completely satisfied with our consult. The office staff was very nice. Since I can't walk well, they ordered me a wheelchair and brought me up from the parking lot.
Dr Francis was really nice.i went to see her on December6th.i was ready to set up my surgery date that same day!i didnt know that i could have.it was about 4 weeks later that i called to find out if my insurance had approved me yet.the person on the other line said i was approved that day and could have set a date.after my appointment that day i walked up to the front desk and they said goodbye, so i figured i would get a call when the insurance approved me.i'm glad i took the advice of a friend and called.MY advice would be to ask alot of questions.don't be shy!! the support group on Thursday nights is the greatest thing.anyone who is interested in the surgery MUST go and check it out.the people are so willing to tell thier story and help you in any way they can.I have had lots of friends who have had this surgery and i'm totally looking forward to it!!
Dr. Kelly Francis was my doctor. I thought she was great. She answered all my questions and explained the risks involved. I was told that they have a very good aftercare program if you live in the area. The office staff was always busy. The people I dealt with were always very professional and helpful. These people even took the time to come check on their patients at the hospital every day. I thought that was very nice.

Not the freindliest. Very mater of fact and to the point. But very professional.
The office staff was ok.Kind of dull.I felt like i was bothering them. They seemes busy.
I thought Dr. Francis was ok...I think shes one of thoose people you have to know to know.
As of today..Im not sure what someone else should know. I am still learning,
Dr fransis, emphasized on the fact this was a huge life style change...and I did not have to have it. I mentioned to her I was weary of the gastric bypass and was routing for the vertical band.
As of today I would give her a 7
